Defending NRA champion Greg Biffle spent the other afternoon in the middle of Texas Motor Speedway fighting off the dogs. The two-time winner at TMS switched from his usual fire suit into full-body K-9 protective gear and allowed himself to become the target of the Fort Worth Police Department's K-9 Unit.
Biffle, an avid animal lover, took part in a presentation by the unit and also presented the SPCA Texas with an autographed fire suit to raise money at an auction.
When asked what was tougher — battling racers in NASCAR's new "Gen-6" vehicles or getting nipped by K-9's — Biffle sided with man's best friend.
"I would like to have four or five of these dogs when it comes to race time," he joked. "Just bite the four or five fastest."
