Waltrip got a scolding from the former Alaska governor on Twitter after apparently poking fun at her during Sunday's broadcast of the Kobalt Tools 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
It was reported that Waltrip said during the race broadcast that Brad Keselowski crew chief Paul Wolfe was a "master strategery," and later went on to say he had "Palin strategery."
Waltrip and Fox Sports announcer Chris Myers then joked about seeing Russia from their house — a remark that had been attributed to Palin during the 2008 presidential campaign.
An angry Palin didn't take kindly to the jab and struck back via Twitter.
Hey Waltrip, final lap & you still don't have your facts right. Get some "strategery" and check your facts before you shoot off your mouth.

Palin — who ran for vice president on the John McCain ticket — has claimed she never used the word "strategery" (at least in public) and it seems like her response was more a case of friendly banter than outrage.
Waltrip later tweeted a photo of the pair together with their significant others in his motorhome at a race.
@sarahpalinusa you are one if my fav people on earth. twitter.com/mw55/status/31…

The made-up word was first coined by comedian Will Ferrell during a Saturday Night Live skit back in 2000.
