Gimenez tweeted back that he believed that Astro's relief work would bring some St. Paddy's Day luck to the team.

Not so. Red Sox pitcher Jon Lester posted six innings of P's himself — as in perfect — against the Rays before exiting the game in the seventh. Anthony Carter and Joel Hanrahan pitched perfect innings to set up a dramatic — by spring training standards— ninth inning. The perfect game bid was finally broken up in the ninth after Jason Bourgeois's infield single behind second base. The Sox won 5-1.
If it's good luck you want, stick with four-leaf clovers.

DeleteDavid does not walk many batters. I wonder if he forgot to walk his dog.
