Paris Jackson is a varsity high school cheerleader

Paris Jackson, the late pop singer Michael Jackson's daughter, has had her share of the spotlight and is focusing on a future as an actress.  But for now, the teenager is going about life just as any other kid would — and that includes cheering for her high school team.

A couple of days after Buckley, the exclusive private school she attends, earned its first ever California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section boys basketball team title, the lovely Paris posted a photo of herself on Twitter as a varsity cheerleader.

The photo was apparently taken by a MaxPreps photographer and shows her with punk-style raven-black hair — a look we are not accustomed to seeing.

Paris seems to be enjoying life in high school and tweeted:

"lol this may be the best picture ever."

Being the daughter of the famous King of Pop — or his tragic death — doesn't seem to have affected the teen who shares all different aspects of her life on the Twitter account.  She tweets about young love, school and both of her siblings just like any other well adjusted 14-year-old.

Paris has attended Buckley for three years and because the school is so exclusive, it helps insure that she does not run in to the media circus that follows the Jackson family.

That's good because the spotlight will be on the Buckley boys team when they play in the Division V state tournament on Wednesday and she'll be cheering them on.
