Somebody actually stole Josh Thomas' NY Jets playbook: Report

New York Jets backup cornerback Josh Thomas tweeted Monday that his playbook — stored on a team-issued iPad — was stolen.

According to a team spokesman, Thomas' iPad, which contained the playbook, and his passport were among several items taken. The incident occurred in New Jersey, but not at the Jets' facility. The good news is that the Jets were able to wipe the data from the iPad remotely.

But not before he issued a public appeal to have the items returned.

And it may be no coincidence that this Sunday's opponent is the Patriots.

In the offseason, you may recall, former Jets defensive coordinator and current Browns coach Mike Pettine said that Patriots coach Bill Belichick had gotten his hands on copies of the Jets' playbook in the past.

Can you say iPad-gate?
