Ryder Cup captain Olazabal bloodies spectator's head with stray ball at Augusta

A stray ball hit by Jose Maria Olazabal struck a spectator in the head Monday during the opening day of practice for this week's Masters at Augusta National.

Olazabal — the last European to wear the Green Jacket back in 1999 — sliced the ball into the crowd on the eighth hole and accidentally plunked the spectator on the side of his head.  The injured man slumped to the ground holding his severely bleeding head before being treated by medical staff.

Besides getting a gauze bandage over his nasty gash, the fan received a signed glove from from Olazabal — who also helped attend to the bleeding fan.

What's a little blood in exchange for a souvenir from the Spaniard.
