Mets pitching coach pencils in 'snowball fight' for Mets rotation in Minnesota

It looks like New York Mets pitching coach Dan Warthen found a new way to keep his bullpen arms warmed up while the team gets ready for a three game series in frozen Minnesota — a snowball fight.

ESPN reporter Adam Rubin tweeted this photo of Warthen's throwing schedule for the upcoming week.  On April 11, the Mets' off-day before a three-game series against the Twins, the coach is setting aside time for his hurlers to have an old-fashioned free-for-all in the snow.  Lucky for him, the forecast for the Twin Cities area is 35-degree temps with an 80% chance of snow — 4-6 inches worth.

Warthen might want to sell tickets. Who wouldn't want to see guys hurling 90 mph frozen snowballs at each other out at Target Field?

After the boys wipe the snot from their noses and bond over hot chocolate, they can put on their long johns. The temperatures will remain in the 30's all weekend.

By the way, it'll be a balmy 80-degrees at Citi Field today. The Metrodome doesn't seem so bad now — does it.
