Nets players left court before blowout loss to Spurs was over (VIDEO)

Even after the Brooklyn Nets were totally embarrassed in a 113-92 loss to the San Antonio Spurs for over 47 minutes Tuesday night, the team still found a way to humiliate themselves even more with only the last sliver of time left in the game.

The Spurs were just trying to dribble out the clock, but the shot clock was not off and there was 0.2 seconds left after their possession. The referees whistled a 24-second violation and gave the ball to the Nets for a perfunctory out of bounds play.

Except the Nets couldn’t inbound the ball because there were not enough Brooklyn players on the court to meet league rules and start the play. The Nets had already went sulking back to the locker room.

Red-faced Jason Kidd had to use a time out to stop the clock and round up enough Nets players for the final play — and an AT&T Center walk of shame.

It might seem trivial for the refs to finish the long-lost game, but they are there to enforce the rules.

But two things are perfectly clear from watching the video clip — Kidd has officially lost his team and the announcer was really hungry.
