Jimmy Fallon writes Derek Jeter three new walk-up songs

Derek Jeter made a rare television appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, talking about his season and sharing some crazy stories from past times with with the host.

The high point came when Fallon enlisted the The Roots' help of to come up some possible walk-up songs for Jeter's return to the Yankees' lineup. The show even placed a home plate in the middle of the stage and had Bob Sheppard's iconic introduction of Jeter to make it seem a little more realistic.

While the first pop-sounding song had the Yankees captain shrugging and saying "It's all right," the second ear-thrashing tune had Jeets wincing, "It made me pop a blood vessel." Number three seemed to catch Jeter's ear.

"That's a good one," he said about the rap-influenced song.

Judge for yourself.
