Promptly after the passing of Yogi early Wednesday morning, the tributes came pouring in — every one of them expressing sorrow at the loss of one of baseball's most lovable players and ambassadors for the game.
But it was Jeter's personal remembrance of his coach, friend and idol that everyone was waiting for.
And late Wednesday morning, the Captain used his Turn 2 Foundation Twitter account to say goodbye to Yogi:
