Tebow relegated to bench even in NYC sporting goods store display

Tebowmania was at a peak when the Jets brought Wildcat quarterback Tim Tebow over from the Denver Broncos last winter. That was until the darling of the NFL went from riding a wave of popularity to riding the pine.

Now one New York City sporting goods store has used Tebow's status on the bench to help promote what is probably an overabundance of New York Jets merchandise collecting dust on its shelves.

According to Darren Rovell's Twitter account, a Dick's Sporting Goods display features a group of Jets players — all standing except for Tebow who sits comfortably on a tiny bench.

  1. To be more attune, they should have displayed Holmes on a stretcher and Sanchez on his stomach, facing the other direction... watching his fumbles being carried into the end zone.
