Beyonce's solo Super Bowl halftime show just went from a solo gig into a "Bootylicious" reunion.
Just one day after the R&B songstress announced that her former bandmates from Destiny's Child would be releasing their first new material in eight years, US weekly reports that the group is set to reunite for the first time in six years during the NFL halftime extravaganza.
Beyonce will open the show solo before being joined on stage by Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams to join her in a short medley of the group's biggest hits.
The group will segue into their original single in eight years, "Nuclear," before Beyonce takes center stage for a big finale and performs a solo single from her upcoming album.
The group's new release, "Love Songs," is a compilation album of romantic hits with "Nuclear" being the only new song. The album will be released Jan. 29.
"I am so proud to announce the first original Destiny's Child music in eight years," Beyonce wrote on her website Jan. 10.
She can also be proud that she hasn't forgotten her roots when it comes to sharing the world's biggest stage at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans come Feb. 3.
