Alabama BCS Trophy's first stop — a Walmart store

A Tuscaloosa Walmart will be adding a little Waterford® Crystal to its inventory this Friday when The Coaches' Trophy, which was awarded to Alabama on Monday night as the 2012 national college football champions, will make its public debut.

The exact Coaches' Trophy, which was awarded on the field to Alabama as the convincing winner of the Discover BCS National Championship in Miami, will kick off a weekend tour of the state at Walmart store #715 in the hometown of the university.

The $30,000, 45-pound (the crystal football itself weighs 8 lbs.) trophy will make a few stops around the state before being put on permanent display on the school campus.

Crimson Tide fans will be able to get a free on-line photo taken with the cherished crystal and probably pick a few souvenir T-shirts at the store.
