Derek Jeter tops list of baseball’s top selling jerseys: Report

It looks like Derek Jeter is having a little resurgence off the field after it was announced that the Yankees' shortstop had the league's best selling jersey this season as he heads to his final All-Star Game next week.

Based on jersey sales released by MLB.com, the official online shop of Major League Baseball, Jeter's No. 2 was the top seller since the beginning of the 2014 regular season.

The 40-year-old Jeter will be making his 14th and final All-Star Game appearance next week at Minneapolis' Target Field. The Yankees' Captain, who is currently hitting .270 with 24 RBI, announced before spring training that the 2014 season would be his last.

San Francisco catcher Buster Posey is second, followed by Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw and Boston designated hitter David Ortiz and second baseman Dustin Pedroia.

St. Louis catcher Yadier Molina is sixth, followed by Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout, Mets third baseman David Wright, Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig and Detroit first baseman Miguel Cabrera.

Yankees injured rookie sensation Masahiro Tanaka came in at No. 14 on the list.

Here's the Top 20 list.
