The Provincial Governor's Office in Poznan, western Poland, said in a statement that four people are in serious condition but luckily their injuries are not life-threatening. Two children are among the injured.
The statement said the driver lost control on a straight stretch of road, broke through a barrier and hit the crowd. Prosecutors are investigating the incident.
Polish agency PAP said the driver was Norwegian. The car was from Swedish specialty automaker Koenigsegg.
The accident took place during the ninth Gran Turismo Polonia show, in which drivers show off their rare sports cars.
