At least Cleveland Indians first baseman Nick Swisher doesn't think so.
First, with the game tied 2-2 in the bottom of the eighth inning against the Detroit Tigers Monday night, Swisher hit a slow roller that initially went into foul territory. He got careless when it looked like the ball was rolling out, and Tigers catcher Brayan Pena alertly picked up the ball and chased Swish down.
While it’s easy to mock Swisher here for his brain freeze, give some credit to Pena for his own heads-up move.
As if that bogus move wasn't embarrassment enough for Swisher last night, later, in the bottom of the 10th, with the Indians trailing 4-2 and trying to mount a comeback, he took an epic tumble rounding third.
