Teenage goalkeeper scores comical own-goal during net debut

Ever want to end something before it ever really got started? That's exactly what this 18-year-old Romanian goalkeeper must have been thinking about his professional soccer career after scoring one of the most comical own-goals that has ever been caught on video.

Radu Mitu was just 10 minutes into his debut for Milsami Ursidos when he inadvertently threw the ball into his own net.

Things started out well for the teenage rookie after he comfortably saved a low shot against Rapid Ghidigici but that joy soon turned to blooper infamy.

Mitu's attempt to launch the ball onto the pitch was halted when the ball seemed to stick to his hand and was steered into his own goal.

The blunder had dire consequences for his team after Mitu also conceded a last-minute winner for Rapid as his side lost the Moldovan First Division match 2-1.

Look at it this way Radu, the only way to go now is up.
