This coming Sunday is Mother's Day, and we all know that it's now an annual tradition for pink to be a color of choice in many aspects of Major League Baseball's on-the-field action — even if some moms hate the color — such as the pink bats used by many players.
This will mark the eighth season that players will use pink bats to represent the fight against breast cancer and help raise raise money for awareness and research.
This season, though, MLB is taking it further and will replace the regular red stitching with pink thread and graphics on the little white ball.

Besides the pink-themed baseballs, MLB will be auctioning the game-used pink bats and selling other pink gear on its website — giving the proceeds to charities that help fight breast cancer. The pink-stitched baseballs will be used in the same manner.
