The cute video which became an viral sensation shows a woman trying to get the attention of the man sitting next to her for a kiss and when he ignores her, she leaps out of her seat and dumps an entire soft drink over his head.
Fresno television station KGPE is now reporting that the woman, Kelly Henderson, is in fact an employee of the Fresno Grizzlies baseball team and that the whole thing was just a made-up skit to get laughs.
"We decided, you know, there's going to be a pretty big crowd, we should do what we can and try and get the people to laugh. That's our job here at the Grizzlies, to make sure they have a good time," Henderson told the station.
Henderson is a supervisor for the Grizzlies' promotions team. The boy in the video is Henderson's friend, Daniel.
The "break-up" was staged at a recent Grizzlies baseball game.
When the Kiss Cam first landed on the couple, they appear to be enjoying the action until the guy refuses to kiss his girl. Nonplussed, the camera moves onto other couples before unexpectedly giving the couple another shot at making out. The phone conversation seems too important to break away from and the young woman starts to get upset as her boyfriend holds up his hand to wave her away.
The Internet gobbled up the jaw-dropping clip but it wasn't long before the conspiracy theories began.

Some said that the couple appeared to be acting and that the whole thing seemed simply too perfect, right down to the team mascot being there to comfort the girl just as she walked off.
Others pointed out that the couple are the only ones with a close-up camera shot and the boyfriend protects his cell phone before he gets the beverage in his face.
Kids, the only winners in this blatant misuse of Kiss Cams are the Grizzlies and giant soda cups filled with water everywhere.
