Yankee fan makes diving catch over a couple rows of seats

Mariners fans have nothing on Yankees fans when it comes to making memorable catches in the stands.  Catch a ball in your beer and chug it — it happens at any picnic softball game I've ever been to.  But try diving over a couple of rows of seats and still coming up with the ball. That's not just impressive — it's Jeteresque.

That's what this fan in a Yankees jersey did when a ball was lined into the left field seats at Yankee Stadium during a game against the Mariners Thursday night. He leaped through other spectators and over seats and still made the catch.  It was a fist pump well earned.

If it reminded you of Derek Jeter leaping into the stands against the Red Sox, you aren't alone — well ... maybe you are.  But it was still pretty good and he didn't end up with a black eye.
