Besides both of them claiming they were Born This Way, dealing with Paparazzi and — just like A-Rod's reported drug mule cousin Yuri Sucart — the blond songstress has been banned from the Yankees clubhouse.
Now the injured pop star and the rehabbing New York Yankees third baseman are figuratively joined at the hip through their surgeon — Dr. Bryan Kelly.
The hobbled Gaga went into hip surgery this week with reassurance from Rodriguez, who recovering from the same medical procedure, reports Page Six of The New York Post.
She underwent surgery to repair a damaged hip that forced her to cancel the remainder of her Born This Way Ball world tour.
The Post reports that Gaga and A-Rod share Dr. Kelly, a top surgeon at New York Hospital for Special Surgery, and were spotted simultaneously at his Manhattan office this week.
"Alex was at Dr. Kelly's office for a follow-up, while Gaga was preparing for surgery," said a source close to the singer. "It's natural for anyone to be nervous ahead of this type of surgery, especially as a performer or athlete under tremendous pressure to make a quick recovery and be back at peak performance . . . Gaga was anxious, but Alex talked to her for a while and was able to reassure her."
She later tweeted to her Little Monsters that she was headed into surgery to treat a labral tear of her right hip — the same injury A-Rod suffered on his left side. Gaga is expected to cancel dozens of shows.
Meanwhile the 37-year-old Rodriguez is expected to be out of action until at least midseason after the Jan. 16 operation.
"I am conducting two rehab sessions each and every day in an effort to rejoin my Yankees teammates," he said through a spokesman this week.
That gives A-Rod plenty of time to work on his Poker Face before he has to answer questions about his reported links to Biogenesis.
