Howard put on Kobe's uniform and mocked teammate in All-Star locker room

If you thought relations between Kobe Bryant and Lakers' teammate Dwight Howard had reached a truce during the All-Star weekend in Houston — think again.

Despite some some recent light moments between the two adversaries, sources report that Howard mocked Bryant behind his back in the locker room where he "grabbed Kobe's uniform, put it on, and imitated him in front of all the other players on the West team.  He was joking and berating Kobe" to fellow NBA stars, including Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and Kevin Durant, according to Page Six of The New York Post.

Big man in a little top.

The source said Bryant later arrived in the locker room, "said hello to everyone on the team except Howard, grabbed his stuff and moved as far away from Howard as he could."

Despite a recent clear-the-air meeting in Memphis, relations between the two Lakers' stars hasn't improved .

At the All-Star Game, Bryant said, "It doesn't matter" what his team does with Howard as the trade deadline nears.  Ouch.

Neither Bryant or Howard returned calls to The Post.

    2. MJ & LBJ never played sidekick ? LBJ had to grab Wade's coat-tail to win a title. MJ always had Pippen.

  4. We need players who want to win. Dwight just wants to goof around and get paid for it. Kobe doesn't seem to have a problem with nash, why, because he wants to win a championship!

  5. I never been a fan of Kobe, but I do respect what he has accomplished. So many players have come and so many wish to have the numbers and championships Kobe has won and set. Dwight supposedly is hurt, not easy to play at an intense level with a nagging injury, especially his shoulder which is his bread and butter. Very few people can come together in one season and make it work, they have to mesh and get along and develop a form of respect and comfort-ability with one another. If Dwight sticks around another year or two then you can see a different team, he needs to heal and they need to mesh. I'm not a Lakers fan but I enjoy basketball and a good game no matter if dislike the team.

    2. 2008 Celtics did it their first season with the 3. Some can. Notice ego was never an issue with Garnett Pierce and Allen. True professionals. Go Celts!

  6. dwight is acting like a disinterested goof ball. It annoys the hell out of Kobe day in and day out. I'd be shocked if dwight is on the lakers next year.....unless d'antoni is gone first

  7. Meshing together, is the topic of the hour. The Heat did it, the Clippers are doing it, look how good they are doing. I think both Howard and Kobe should take a lesson from Nash. I also think that it is coach intervention time, after all he is ultimately responsible for his team. OR maybe it was not a good idea bringing Howard to LA ?????

  8. Dwight needs to realize he does not have Kobe's status; he's an underling. His actions were childish and only for attention-getting. What was he thinking!!!!

  9. Dwight Howard needs to grow up, all this clowning around is the reason why he'll never be great as a shaq, etc. Plus what shoulder injury does this man have when he's taking half court hook shots?

  10. thats why he is # 12 he his half the player kobe is!

  11. I'm no NBA Fan - never watch a single game. But I do have one question: Why is it that every time I read a story about bad blood on the Lakers (dating back to pre-Shaq) Bryant's name is in the center of it? I'm just askin / sayin. This guy seems to have a problem with other people in general. It seems to have not learned how to play in the sand box with the other little boys & girls. What a perfect fit for LA.

  12. I think Dwight needs to grow up an be professional ..actingike a dam kid. how can you win?? That's why kobe said @ this point itq doesn't matter if he's on team or not.

    1. I have to agree with you. Howard needs to grow up and cover up. He need to face his responsibilities both on and off the court. This is an oversized kid who came into the league wanting to change the NBA logo for Christian reasons but, just like his game he's wasn't serious. He's walking around with five hidden baby mamas and a childish mentality. One thing I can say about Shaq is that he may have joked around a lot but when it came to the game Shaq showed up. WHERE'S HOWARD

  14. This is what happens when you put guys with big egos and "talent" together. This is probably one of the reasons why the Lakers are not doing so hot this year.

  16. Dwight is a big clown. He should sign a contract with Ringling Brothers instead of another NBA Team. He will NEVER be great with an attitude that. Kobe has more drive and talent in his pinky than that overgrown worthless drama queen. Dwight should grow a pair and ball hard instead of worrying if people like him or trying to please everybody. Kobe doesn't give a f@ck what people think and what has that got him? 5 rings? Jealously and hatred from countless of other teams fans who have been in the toilet for years wishing Kobe was on their team. Dwight, grab a school desk, put on one of your nerdy ass shirts and glasses and take a lesson on how to be a Champion from Kobe Bryant.

  17. Kobe wants it, Nash wants it, Metta wants it,Pau wants it, and they don't give a crap what anyone else thinks.. Howard doesn't want it. It ain't worken Howard, grow up and play the game...or get out.

    great job guys.

  19. Say what you will about Kobe. When it comes to playing your best night after night, with or without injuries. Very few players in any sport has put it all on the line every time. He may take bad shots, dribble too much, not get others involved in the game. But you'll take him on your team. All we need is a team of players that want it as bad as Kobe.
