8th-grade basketball team loses in worst way ever (VIDEO)

With the clock of an Kansas eighth-grade basketball game winding down, and the Rock Creek team trailing the Riley County Falcons, 26-25, a Mustangs player drove to the basket for a game-winning shot.

The shot was clean. It hit the backboard and did a little dance above the net. But that was it. And as the buzzer sounded, the ball just sat on the rim, staring down from its precarious perch taunting the heartbroken player lying on the court.

Game over.

The guy who posted the video on Twitter said it was a championship game. Title match or not, it's a tough way to lose.
