Not lost in all of the sadness and fond memories surrounding Robin Williams' death was the fact that the comic genius was a huge sports fan — more specifically — a longtime San Francisco Giants supporter.
And in tribute to the actor/comedian and hometown icon, the Giants showed a clip from his film Mrs. Doubtfire on the AT&T Park scoreboard and held a moment of silence prior to the team's first game since his untimely death.
There are few things that can provide solace for the entertainment world's monumental loss of Williams but, like legendary old Candlestick Park where he watched many games, the beloved Bay area treasure leaves behind a trove of fond memories for millions of people.
