Toledo Mud Hens turn crazy 7-2-4-3 game-ending triple play

Triple plays are rare. Game-ending triple plays are even rarer. Incredible game-ending triple plays? As rare as they come.

The Toledo Mud Hens — Triple-A affiliate of the Tigers — turned such a play on Saturday night against the Indians-affiliated Columbus Clippers.

With runners on first and third, Clippers shortstop Ryan Rohlinger hit a fly ball to left for the first out of the inning, but that was only the beginning. By the end, the game was over and the Mud Hens had won 4-1.

Corporal Klinger is smiling somewhere.
