Nevada man shoots golfer after errant ball breaks window in his home

A Nevada man has been charged with suspicion of shooting and injuring a golfer after a shanked ball broke a window in his home.

Jeff Fleming, 53, was arrested and charged with spraying two golfers with a shotgun blast after one of the duffers accidentally hit his house with the ball on Thursday.

Maybe the guy should have yelled "Fore!" instead of "Pull!"

Fleming's house sits near the 16th hole of Lakeridge Golf Course in southwest Reno.

Police said Fleming came charging out of his house at around 3:30 p.m. after the wayward ball crashed through one of his windows.  After arguing with the golfers, the angry homeowner fired the weapon — grazing one man in the leg and the arm, police said.

The injured 33-year old was taken to a hospital and later released.  Both golfers were unidentified.

Fleming fled after using the two men for skeet practice and was later arrested at his lawyer's office without incident.  The golf course was evacuated but later reopened after the shooting.  The 16th hole continued to be shut down as a crime scene, reported local police.

To hell with Pebble Beach, that's one tough hazard on the 16th at Lakeridge.
