Juventus soccer player celebrates goal by removing shorts

One unwritten rule among men is to always wear clean underwear in the faint chance you somehow score.

Across the pond it seems to be a good idea to keep your tighty-whities skid-free just in case you kick one between the goal posts.  At least in Mirko Vucinic's case.

The Juventus striker did Brandi Chastain one better after he celebrated his game-winning goal against Pescara in Turin, Italy by excitedly removing his shorts and waving them in the air while running around the pitch.

Vucinic had reason for the exhibition. His 72nd-minute goal led his team to a 2-1 victory and a 12-point lead over second-place SSC Napoli in Italy's Serie A league.  More importantly, it gave him a chance to show David Beckham who's boss of the underwear game.

It wasn't the first time Vucinic peeled down to his skivvies — he did it a couple of years ago — but it's refreshing to see someone other than a drunken hooligan run across the pitch waving his shorts above his head.

One question.  Taking off your shirt merits a yellow card.  What color do you get for dropping trou?

And remember — always wear clean underwear because you never know when you'll get hit by a car ... or score.
