British cyclist Lizzie Armitstead crashed while celebrating winning the first stage of the Women’s Tour of Britain on Wednesday and will now miss the rest of the event.
After crossing the line with her arms in the air in the eastern England town of Aldeburgh, the 2012 Olympic road race silver medalist loses control, takes down about a dozen other riders and clips a few photographers in the process.
Armitstead was taken to a hospital but was later released without any serious injuries.
She later tweeted out to her fans.
