Jenrry Mejia was bumped from the Mets starting rotation to the bullpen Monday after a string of bad starts. But that demotion apparently didn't have anything to do with his dance moves.
The righthander played a crucial part in Monday night's Subway Series opener when Manager Terry Collins asked him to first keep the game close in the seventh and then protect a two-run lead in the eighth.
Mejia's final pitch was an inning-ending called strike three to Brett Gardner, and he celebrated by moonwalking off the mound:
