Minor league hockey team to commemorate Gettysburg Address with Abe Lincoln jerseys (PHOTO)

Nothing says hockey in the U.S. like corporate America and the Gettysburg Address. Now, with some shrewd (askew ed?) marketing, one minor league team has found a way to commemorate President Abraham Lincoln's timeless pep talk together with Bud Light.

The Bakersfield Condors, an East Coast Hockey League team in central California — who once held “Charlie Sheen Night” in 2011 —  will commemorate Sunday’s 150th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address with these special game jerseys.

On the front there's an image of Honest Abe beside a mini Condors logo, the sleeves feature cannons and around the neck there are 1860s authentic Bud Light and Kuzz logos. It gets better on the back where the entire Gettysburg Address is written with a scene from the battle of Gettysburg below.

Possibly forgetting that the Gettysburg battlefield and Bakersfield are more than 2,700 miles apart and when fans hear "Four score," they just think it's one better than a hat trick, the promotion doesn't make much sense at all until you realize it's for a good cause. The team will auction the jerseys off after the game for charity.

It's still disappointing because they blew a chance to tie in Abe's speech with an In-N-Out Gettysburger theme.
