Nori Aoki gets beaned in head by catcher's throw (VIDEO)

It's bad enough that batters have to be wary about high-and-tight throws coming in at them from the mound, but what about dodging balls to the head when they come from the pitcher's battery mate?

Nori Aoki found that out the hard way after he got hit in the flap-less side of his helmet by Yadier Molina's errant throw headed back to the pitcher.

Aoki hit the ground hard and lay there for a moment while his trainer and interpreter came running over. He probably translated something like, "My ear!" Aoki remained in the game.

And no, you don't take a base for that kind of beaning.
