Man arrested for throwing football filled with contraband into prison yard: Report

A Detroit man tried to throw a football filled with heroin, marijuana, tobacco and multiple cellphones into the yard of a state prison on Sunday, but was arrested after his Hail Mary pass came up a little short.

Christen Deon-Sterling Moore was sacked by prison guards after his throw missed his target and the football landed between two fences and not in the yard where prisoners exercise.

An officer at the G. Robert Cotton Correctional Facility saw Moore throw the football, and the 32-year-old Peyton-wannabe was taken into custody, according to the Detroit Free Press.

Trooper Toby Baker of the Michigan State Police said the football was loaded down with  heroin, marijuana, tobacco along with three cellphones and chargers.

A prison officer who was in the parking lot saw Moore throw the football and he was apprehended at the scene.

Moore is facing possession of illegal drugs with intent to deliver, smuggling and trespassing on prison property charges after his Tebow-like toss.

While he has been arraigned, it was not clear whether Moore is free on bond. Each of the felony charges carry a possible five-year sentence.

Sounds like he'll be throwing footballs at Michigan State pretty soon ... Michigan State Penitentiary that is.
