Base jumpers dine-and-dash off a 55-story building

Four men must have left their American Express cards at home— after they enjoyed a round of cocktails at a roof-top bar— then parachuted off the 55-story building without paying their bill.

After ordering a round of negronis at one of Melbourne, Australia's most prestigious restaurants, the Vue de Monde, the well-attired dare-devils skipped out on the tab by strapping on parachutes, hopping a glass barrier and leaping from the Rialto Towers summit.

"Basically, four guys came upstairs with parachutes hidden underneath their jackets," restaurant owner Shannon Bennett said told the Herald Sun.  "I ran from the kitchen and I just saw a flash of them jumping over, and at that stage none of us knew what the hell was going on."

The men— who were all dressed in business suits when they arrived— went into the men's room where they changed before regrouping on the restaurant's balcony and jumping to a waiting getaway car.

Bennett told police he ran downstairs and tried to catch the grub-and-snubbers.

"It was too late— they were really quick at what they were doing," Bennett said.  "It was very well planned and they've obvious done this sort of stuff before."

Maybe he should just lower his prices.

Police are still searching for four nicely-dressed men with a taste for Campari and extreme sports.

The bartender is still waiting for his tip.
