Derek Jeter's $18M Manhattan bachelor pad on the market

Here's the closest most people will ever get to seeing the inside of Derek Jeter's swinging East Side Manhattan bachelor pad— unless you're a window washer or a single lady.

It's a peak at a never-before-seen look inside the New York Yankees shortstop's incredible 88th-floor penthouse atop Trump World Tower at UN Plaza next to the East River according to The New York Post.

The 5,425-square foot apartment with sweeping 360-degree views of Manhattan and beyond has four bedrooms, an eat-in kitchen, fireplace and 5 1/2 baths.  That's just 3 1/2 less bathrooms than his 30,000 square-foot waterfront mansion in Tampa, Fla.

The dining room has enough seating for the whole Yankees starting lineup plus a couple pitchers from the bullpen.

The entryway has a diamond-shaped wood floor inlay featuring the No. 2 Jeter wears on the back of his pinstriped jersey.

When you're not gawking at spectacular views of the New York City skyline outside the 16-foot high walls, you can play pool or poker in the game area or tickle the ivories on a black baby grand piano.  There's even an old school bar tabletop Pac-Man game for the less sophisticated.

The apartment has gone back on the market for a discounted $17.95 million, down from the $20 million price tag two years ago.

The Yankees Captain is looking for something smaller after splitting with actress girlfriend Minka Kelly,  the Post said.

"He is downsizing to a Manhattan pied-a-terre apartment," said his broker, Carrie Chiang, of the Corcoran Group.

I'm not sure what a pied-a-terre is, but I'm sure it won't be a five-story walk-up with alley views.

Imagine the lucky ladies who even get a free limo ride and swag bag filled with autographed stuff after visiting the ultimate bachelor pad.
