UFC fighter gets the crap choked out of her...literally

Justine Kish not only got the crap choked out her by Felice Herrig in their UFC Fight Night showdown at UFC Oklahoma this weekend, she even left the skid marks inside the Octagon to prove it.

In an embarrassing moment Kish probably wishes she could wipe away, the corn-rowed warrior apparently lost control of her bowels during the fight while trying to escape a vicious rear-naked chokehold from Herrig. The exertion Kish used to escape the grasp of Herrig most likely brought about the unfortunate incident.

And, even more unfortunately for Kish, her octagon accident was not lost on viewers at home. Replay of Kish’s attempted escape confirmed that a nasty brown substance was left behind on the canvas.

The previously undefeated Kish was praised for the courage she showed in escaping the deep choke from Herrig.

“I have no idea how Kish got out of this,” UFC analyst Kenny Florian said. “Just pure toughness and strength. Just amazing determination from Justine.”

But her real fortitude showed when the straw-weight took to social media following the contest, humorously owning up to her Depends moment, and telling her fans that she will return to fight again for the throne.

Ronda Rousey gets destroyed by Amanda Nunes as comeback lasts 48 seconds

Ronda Rousey's long-awaited comeback at UFC 207 against Amanda Nunes was almost over before it started.

Rousey was stopped 48 seconds into her first fight in 13 months, losing to bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes who turned the former darling of the octagon into a $3 million heavybag before referee Herb Donald stopped the fight.

Nunes, who only got $200,000 — compared to Rousey's guaranteed $3 million — rocked her opponent with punches to the head before the stoppage and put a big question mark on Rousey's once heralded legacy.

Nunes battered the one-time UFC darling with a series of unanswered punches before Dean stopped the fight with Rousey wobbling on her feet.

The much-anticipated showdown was Rousey’s first fight since losing to Holly Holm on Nov. 15, 2015, in Melbourne, Australia. She suffered an embarrassing knockout in that fight, and had many fight fans questioning whether or not her legend was just a fabrication of the UFC publicity machine.

Now we know.

After a series of mostly unblocked punches from Nunes pushed Rousey around the octagon — highlighting Rousey's lack of boxing skills — a hard right hand from the Brazilian sent a stunned Rousey against the cage before one last clean right buckled her legs. Dean wisely rushed in to stop the fight before Rousey even got a chance to attempt one of her famed takedowns.

Rousey left T Mobile Arena in the arms of her mother without saying a word as she had done all week, while Nunes let her know who was the new boss.

“I trained and prepared for this fight,” Nunes said. “There’s a lot of talent in this division. Forget about Ronda Rousey.”

Travis Browne and Matt Mitrone both stood in the octagon after their Sunday night bout at UFC Fight Night 81. And one of them was about to reveal something pretty shocking.

And if you couldn't guess by the raised arm and bulging eyeball, Mitrione lost by TKO at 4:09 of the third round.

Ronda Rousey and Tina Fey teaming up for 'Do Nothing Bitches' film: Report

Losing hasn't stopped Ronda Rousey from winning these days. At least when it comes to starring roles in Tinseltown.

Even after taking a beating at the hands of Holly Holm at UFC 193, Hollywood is continuing its love affair with the darling of MMA and now, according to Deadline.com, a pitch has been made to Universal Pictures for a comedy entitled "Do Nothing Bitches" starring Rousey alongside Tina Fey. 

The article was then plugged by Rousey on Twitter: "The logline is being kept under wraps," reported Deadline.com's Mike Fleming Jr., "But is a female-empowerment tale dealing with wealthy pampered wives who get a rude awakening at a camp where Rousey plays the no-nonsense instructor."

Just betting Holm isn't one of the housewives.

The story was inspired by Rousey's infamous video where she discusses the criticisms she has received regarding her body being "masculine," a label Rousey dismisses with the "Do Nothing Bitches" term.

Rousey recently had her rematch with Holm postponed so she could recover from injuries suffered in the November bout. And it sounds like she will be hitting her marks more than her heavy bag in the upcoming months. She's hosting Saturday Night Live Jan. 23 and has a Super Bowl spot with Amy Schumer coming up for the big game.

And don't forget the lead role of the  upcoming reboot of that Patrick Swayze classic Road House.

Ronda Rousey to host 'Saturday Night Live' on Jan. 23

Despite Ronda Rousey's totally shocking loss to Holly Holm for the UFC women's bantamweight title in November, the perks of being a winner are still coming fast and furious to the darling of MMA.

And on Tuesday, it was announced that Rousey will be hosting "Saturday Night Live" with musical guest Selena Gomez on Jan. 23.

Rousey has largely remained out of the public eye since losing her title, but it hasn't stopped her from still being in demand. Besides continuing the tradition of pro athletes hosting the high-profile SNL gig, Rousey will be doing a body-painted feature spread in the upcoming Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and has a few big-budget movies coming out including the reboot of "Roadhouse."

It looks like sprinkles are for losers sometimes.

UFC still talking about illegal Jon Jones fight at Madison Square Garden: Report

The UFC is planning it's first fight at Madison Square Garden headlining Jon “Bones” Jones this spring despite the fact that the sport is still banned in New York State.

The New York Post reported that the UFC is plowing ahead with plans to hold its first event at then Garden on April 23 with the main event featuring the former light heavyweight champion trying to get his title back from current champion Daniel Cormier.

New York remains the only state in the country not to sanction professional mixed martial arts, with the Democrat-controlled state assembly citing concerns about violence associated with the sport and even questioning how women are treated at the events.

“It would be epic. It would be huge,” said UFC co-owner Lorenzo Fertitta of the megafight, anticipating that MMA will be approved in the political cage.

The UFC has contracted the date at the Garden with the hopes of there being a resolution in the UFC’s long-running effort to get MMA legalized in the state. Ideally, the state legislature finally will pass a bill to regulate the popular sport through the New York State Athletic Commission.

A tune fight Empire State fans have heard before.

In the meantime, the UFC filed suit with the US Court of Appeals of the Second Circuit arguing the state’s prohibition of regulated professional MMA events violates the First Amendment right of athletes and fans. The UFC also has filed in federal court calling the ban of MMA unconstitutional.

“We’re hopeful this year might be the year,” Fertitta said. “I know we’ve said that many times. But we’re hopeful the bill will not only be introduced for a vote this year, but it will happen early in the session.”

If professional MMA is not legalized by the Assembly in time to begin promoting the April event, the UFC will seek a preliminary injunction against New York from enforcing its “unconstitutional” law.

“Hopefully, there will be a decision on it by the middle of January,” Fertitta said.

UFC on Fox 18 will take place Jan. 30 at the Prudential Center in Newark, the latest in a number of MMA events held in New Jersey, one of the first states to regulate the sport and benefit from its rising popularity.

Former Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, now a convicted money launderer and extortionist, had been MMA's biggest and most powerful opponent. The ousted Silver and a Las Vegas culinary union did all they could to oppose the sport in New York and stall its progress.

Fertitta owns the largest non-union casino company in Las Vegas, and the culinary union wants to force unionization in Nevada by lobbying against UFC’s efforts in New York.

“They’re looking for leverage against me and my brother,” Fertitta said.

Bones-Cormier would be a quick sellout. Jones (21-1) was once considered the most dominant fighter in the sport. A native of Endicott, New York, he became the youngest champion in UFC at age 23 when he won the belt at UFC 128 in 2011. But he was stripped of his title and suspended from the UFC in April following his arrest on felony hit-and-run charges in Albuquerque, NM. It had followed incidents where Jones was arrested for DUI in 2012 and earlier this year tested positive for benzoylecgonine, the primary metabolite of cocaine.

News of the failed drug test was not revealed until three days after Jones defeated Cormier by unanimous decision at UFC 182 in January. Cormier later defeated Anthony Johnson to win the vacant title.

Jones was given 18 months of supervised probation. He was reinstated into the UFC in October and helped Holly Holm train for her recent upset of Ronda Rousey.

Dana White: Ronda Rousey is definitely getting a rematch against Holly Holm

In what seemed like a no-brainer until we found out how badly Ronda Rousey had her own gray matter rattled, UFC president Dana White has confirmed that his MMA star will get her rematch with Holly Holm, after losing the title at UFC 193.

Rousey was knocked out in the second round by a head kick by Holm in the November fight after dominating all six of her previous UFC opponents.

And despite the one-sided beatdown in Melbourne, White told ESPN that the rematch was the only fight that made sense for the new UFC women's bantamweight champion.

"I think that if we didn't make the rematch, me and [UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta] should probably lose our promoter's license," White said. "That's the fight that's going to happen. That's the fight.

"Ronda Rousey has gone undefeated; she's taken the sport to another level and beaten the best women in the world in 14 seconds, 30 seconds.

"She deserves a rematch. Holly agrees she deserves a rematch. We'll figure it out."

White was unclear exactly when a rematch would take place.

Rousey was all bluster before the fight, and refused to touch gloves before Round 1, but has kept a low profile since losing. White's insistence that the rematch will take place may be an indication that the 28-year-old is looking for revenge.

It was speculated that Rousey's media obligations and roles in Hollywood movies had distracted her from preparing properly for the match — but a loss is a loss.

White insisted that it was Holm's boxing skills that laid out Rousey, rather than the former champions own shortcomings in the cage.

"I don't know what the answer is," White said. "This woman [Rousey] who was so dominant — other than the fact Holly Holm is for real.

"She's very, very good. Ronda had been a workhorse before that. Maybe everything caught up with her. Maybe she was exhausted. Or maybe Holly Holm was that good."

In the days following Ronda Rousey's monumental loss to Holly Holm, everyone from fans, fellow fighters and celebrities have come out to express how happy they were after the undefeated  and seemingly over-hyped UFC queen was dethroned.

Rousey has been in hiding since going to the hospital right after the fight, but her first public appearance since the second-round knockout didn't do anything to enhance her reputation as the toughest fighter on the planet.

Surrounded by bodyguards, Rousey and her boyfriend Travis Brown made their way through LAX airport after a flight back from Australia.

TMZ posted a video of Rousey covering up her face while dodging photographers at the terminal — presumably to prevent anyone from seeing the damage she incurred in the beatdown from Holm. 

And it might be worse than her fans care to see.

After watching her Elephant Man imitation through LAX to her limo, one part of me thinks Rousey should own up to the loss and show her battle scars proudly. But another part of me thinks she might be more of a delicate flower than anyone thought beforehand.

Rousey vowed on Monday that she would be back.

No, Conor McGregor isn't planning too move up a few weight classes after his UFC featherweight title bout against Jose Aldo in December, but, if this video is any indication, we might see the Irish fighter donning some fur and wielding a sword on Game of Thrones.

McGregor enjoyed a light sparring session with former professional wrestler Conan Stevens who plays 'The Mountain' Gregor Clegane in the acclaimed HBO television drama.

Standing at seven feet tall and weighing almost 300 pounds, McGregor was better suited to do battle against Tyrion — in a fair fight that is.

Inside the Dublin gym where McGregor is training, the big Australian attempts to get the fleet-footed Irishman in a headlock several times while the UFC fighter lands some body shots.

Eventually Stevens kneels down and allows the 27-year-old a few light, uncontested blows before the round comes to an end after three minutes.

McGregor was due face Aldo in July, but the Brazilian pulled out after suffering a rib injury while sparring. And McGregor, he was lucky to come out with ribcage intact after this playful session with Stevens.

Ronda Rousey to play lead role in 'Road House' reboot: Report

Ronda Rousey will be taking her MMA act back to the big screen after being cast in the lead role in an upcoming reboot the 1989 cult classic Road House.

The UFC bantamweight champion will be cast in a role that is basically a female version of Dalton (originally played by the late Patrick Swayze) — the Zen bouncer who kicked a lot of hillbilly butt in the original version.

The fighter reportedly reached out to Swayze's widow, Lisa Niemi, to ask for her blessing before accepting the role. Niemi gave Rousey the green light, and now it's on.

It may take Ronda Rousey only seconds to dispose of opponents in the ring, but when it comes to accepting proposals from outside? Not so fast.

Rousey, in a video posted by TMZ, happily accepted an invitation to a Marine Corps Ball after Jarrod Haschert, a U.S. Marine stationed in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, asked her out in a video posted last month to Facebook that has been seen more than 4.8 million times.

The UFC star had seen the video and told TMZ she would gladly accept the invite, but under one condition:"He's gotta be a gentleman," she said of the 22 year-old . "I'm not a first-date kind of girl, but we'll see when I meet him."

And since her upcoming fight against Holly Holm has been moved from January to November 14, that leaves her schedule wide open to attend the December 11th gala. 

There's still the question of getting in contact with Haschert.

"Do I call him, do I set up a time and place like 'Never Been Kissed' and just show up and have him waiting there?" Rousey asked.

Ronda Rousey is already scheduled to be in a couple of new movies in the coming months, including starring in her own biopic.

And since her fights only take about 20 seconds to finish, the undefeated UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion has lots of time to set her sights on larger roles in Hollywood.

In a recent Reddit AMA, one of her friends asked about the possibility of her taking on a superhero role. And she apparently believes she'd be perfect for the role of Ms. Marvel.

Rousey has already had a couple of roles in major motion pictures, including Expendables 3 and The Entourage Movie. She is also reportedly working on a movie project with Mark Wahlberg. Even with all these projects in the works, it's fair to say she'd like to be considered for the Ms. Marvel role (if Marvel ever greenlights the movie).

Floyd Mayweather jabs Ronda Rousey: Call me 'when you make $300M in 36 minutes'

In between promoting his final fight against opponent Andre Berto, Floyd Mayweather Jr. still found time to take another jab at Ronda Rousey, MMA’s biggest attraction, during an interview on Thursday.

Mayweather connected with the verbal hit on ESPN’s SportsCenter when he said, “I’ve yet to see any MMA fighter, or other boxer, make over $300 million in 36 minutes. When she can do that, then call me."

The attack on the UFC sensation follows Rousey’s dig at Mayweather about his past history of domestic violence at the ESPY’s last month, where she beat him out for Fighter of the Year.

 “I wonder how Floyd feels being beaten by a woman for once," she said while posing for the media on the red carpet.

Both fighters have never experienced a loss in their professional careers (Mayweather 48-0 in the boxing ring, and Rousey 12-0 in MMA), and have continued to verbally spar since the ESPYs.

Mayweather also repeated his declaration that this is the last bout of his career, although a grin he flashed said otherwise. Mayweather previously retired in 2008, but it barely lasted a year.

The pound-for-pound champ will fight Berto at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sept. 12.

Expect another exchange with Rousey sooner.

Ronda Rousey to star in film based on her autobiography: Report

Following her one-sided win Saturday night in Brazil, where she knocked out Bethe Correia in 34 seconds, UFC fighter Ronda Rousey is headed back to the big screen.

Paramount Pictures said Monday it has secured the rights to Rousey’s New York Times bestselling autobiography “My Fight/Your Fight,” and Rousey will star playing herself in the film adaption, reported Variety.

The 28-year-old mixed martial artist has emerged as the sport's top female fighter. She's already drawn interest from Hollywood, appearing in the films "Expendables 3," "Furious 7" and "Entourage."

In her bout Saturday at UFC 190 in Rio de Janeiro, she knocked out Bethe Correia 34 seconds into the first round. It was Rousey's longest title defense in her last three fights.

The film will begin development with Mark Bomback writing the script. His credits include co-writing the screenplays to "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" and "The Wolverine."

Rousey is also set to star alongside Mark Wahlberg in "Mile 22" directed by Peter Berg.

Mark Bomback on board to adapt the book, while Mary Parent is producing along with Rousey, with Bomback serving as exec producer.

“It’s a real honor to be a part of bringing Ronda’s incredible story to the big screen,” Parent said.

Written by Rousey with her sister Maria Burns Ortiz, “My Fight/Your Fight” is an inspirational story celebrating the accomplishments of Rousey, who faced extraordinary challenges on her path to glory. 

Just hoping the film isn't a short and lasts longer than Rousey's opponents.

Ronda Rousey dedicates UFC 190 fight to Roddy Piper and do 'Rowdy' nickname proud

It came as sad news to find out former WWE star "Rowdy" Roddy Piper died at the age of 61, after it was confirmed by the WWE on Friday.

One of his fans happens to also go by the nickname "Rowdy," MMA superstar Ronda Rousey — a namesake the wrestler handed down to her when Rousey was an amateur.

  

And as Rousey prepares for Saturday night's UFC 190 against Bethe Correia, she took to Instagram to thank the wrestling legend for the name and dedicate the upcoming fight to him.

"Thank you for the name.... And so much more.... Will do it justice and do you proud tomorrow.... This one's for you Roddy...."

On paper, there’s no good reason to think Correia (9-0 mixed martial arts, 3-0 UFC) stands a chance of beating Rousey (11-0, 5-0). The Brazilian challenger’s unbeaten record might look like a good match for the champion’s, but now Piper's namesake has some added incentive.

Ronda Rousey, the UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion, and one the most popular fighters in mixed martial arts, was honored Wednesday when she was named an ESPY award winner for Best Fighter.

Rousey did not have an award ceremony. Insead, she was rather casually presented with the award on the red carpet, at which point she decided to stare directly into the camera and use the moment to diss Floyd Mayweather Jr..

“I wonder how Floyd feels being beat by a woman for once,” she said with a cold glare then a laugh. “I'd like to see him pretend to not know who I am now.”

On Tuesday, Mayweather told a group of reporters that he was unaware of Rousey's existence. “I don't even know who he is,” Mayweather said before being corrected and told that Rousey is indeed a woman. “I ain't know who that is,” he maintained.

Rousey says she'll never fight a man but, let’s see how this rolls out.

The Pacquiao-Mayweather fight took about five years to finally arrange so I’m just guessing that we could see a Mayweather-Rousey bout sometime around 2020 — probably when Money needs a little more spending cash.

MMA fighter 'The Renegade' floored in Vegas bar fight after saying, 'Google me b****!' (VIDEO)

MMA fighter Cody Gibson might want to lay off the Internet for a while after an embarrassing incident at a Las Vegas bar the other night — because it can get you a whole lot of hurt.

The UFC fighter loudly demanded that a man Google his name as they prepared to scuffle and right before Gibson was punched in the face and knocked to the ground in front of stunned onlookers. 

Gibson, nicknamed 'The Renegade', was captured on video saying "Google me b****!" during the altercation with a much bigger dude after the two got nose-to-nose.

The 27-year-old cage fighter had already lost a fight that night, to Manny Gamburyan at UFC 178, and he found himself on the floor again after saying those famous last words.

After taking a right hook to the jaw, the two grappled but the fight was broken up before there was any more googling.

Gibson spoke of his regret about the incident the next day on Sherdog Radio. 

"When I woke up this morning, I definitely had that pit in the bottom of my stomach," Gibson said.  "Like, Holy c***. Could I be that guy?" 

 

Chris Weidman out of UFC 181 title fight against Vitor Belfort: Report

A broken left hand has forced middleweight champion Chris Weidman to pull out of his title defense at UFC 181 against Vitor Belfort, the UFC announced Monday night.

The Dec. 6 Las vegas fight likely will be rescheduled for February.

Weidman's trainer Ray Longo thinks the break will benefit his fighter.

"I'm looking at it different," Longo said. "I'm looking at it like I want this guy 100 percent healthy. You give this guy two healthy hands, it's a big difference."

The Long Island native first injured his left hand about three weeks before his last title defense in July against Lyoto Machida. Weidman (12-0, 8-0 UFC) said after the fight that doctors had told him he sprained ligaments in the hand.

Longo said Weidman saw doctors in California on Monday and that his left hand was in a cast. Longo said they had not done any pad work or sparring yet for the Dec. 6 fight against Belfort — who hasn't fought since November 2013.

Replacing Weidman-Belfort as the UFC 181 main event will be Johny Hendricks' first welterweight title defense. He'll fight Robbie Lawler in a rematch of the bout to decide the champion after Georges St-Pierre vacated the title. Lightweight champion Anthony Pettis will defend his title as scheduled against Gilbert Melendez in the co-main event at UFC 181.

MMA fighters arrested for beating Manhattan nightclub bouncer: Report

Two top mixed-martial-arts fighters — part of the famed Gracie clan — were busted for helping to beat a bouncer outside a trendy Manhattan nightclub early Monday, law-enforcement sources told the N.Y. Post.

Renzo Gracie and his cousin Igor were arrested along with five other people for the 1:30 a.m. beat-down of Craig Molesphini outside 1 OAK in the Meatpacking District, sources said.

The victim suffered a fractured right arm along with bruises and cuts, sources said.

“I’m OK,” Molesphini said later Monday. “I have a slightly fractured elbow.’’

The brawling cousins — whose Brazilian family started the sports-promoting business Ultimate Fighting Championship — were charged with gang assault, as were the other suspects. The charge for Renzo and Igor Gracie is in the second degree, according to Fox Sports.

The pair was released on $10,000 bail.

Two years ago, Renzo pummelled a would-be mugger in the same neighborhood and did a play-by-play tweet while he beat up the thug.

“People who train this kind of stuff have no business getting into street fights — it’s completely unfair,’’ said a disgusted law-enforcement source. “These guys really should have known better.”

The 47-year-old Renzo, who lives in New Jersey, has a gym in Midtown where he trains top UFC fighters. A son of Robson Gracie, his last official MMA bout was in 2010.

Igor, 34, is the son of Rolls Gracie and brother of Gregor Gracie. He has a training gym in New Rochelle.

The group was busted in front of the popular club, where stars such as Jay Z, Beyoncé, Leonardo DiCaprio and Cameron Diaz hang out.

Ronda Rousey is the face of women's mixed martial arts and — besides being a champion UFC fighter and Olympic medalist — she's pretty easy on the eyes.

After she posed for ESPN's The Magazine’s Body Issue,  the nude cover shot of a smoking Rousey sent plenty of MMA fans' hearts aflutter.

Now, some devoted fan decided to have that image of Rousey from the Body Issue shoot tattooed on his freckled arm and, from the looks of it, the ink job doesn't do Rousey any justice. Instead of the hot, elbow-breaking queen of the octagon we have all come to love, the tattoo makes her look sort of miserable — in a "Les Miserables" sort of way.

In the tattoo, Rousey’s face is wider, her arms don't match and that expression. She looks more like Cosette — the little waif from Les Miz in the inked mugshot. Never mind the bread thief, Javert should hunt down that tattoo artist.

Getting inked with a portrait of the love of your life is fine — just get it right.
