Antonio Cromartie's wife gets in nasty Twitter war with Jets fans

While her husband Antonio Cromartie was battling on the field against the Texans Sunday, the Jets cornerback's wife, Terricka, was having her own little war with Jets fans on her Twitter account.

Most of the tweets started early in the second half and got increasingly more vile. Many of them were insults about the number of children her husband has and the number of women he has had them with.

“I’ll Knock ur husbands teeth out one shot, u him and the 9 filth kids can meet me anytime,” one person tweeted at her.

The cornerback's wife kept firing back:

The back-and-forth went on until her responses to the trolls turned downright venomous.

“Yo mama a Thot (sic) she should of aborted your ugly ass,” she wrote back at one person.

She later deleted several of her tweets during the game.

But when one fan asks her about the Patriots’ fan base, she responded, “at this point compared to the s–t we get [Patriots fans are] Amazing and Loyal.”

“To Sum it all up the Jets Fan Base ain’t s–t Period,” she wrote.

Cromartie didn’t fare well in the Jets’ 24-17 loss, and refused to speak to the media after the game.

But he had plenty to say to the Jets fans.

“At the end of the day my wife nor my kids r on the field so shld never b disrespected by our own fan base like this,” Cromartie tweeted after the game, along with a screenshot of some of the vulgar tweets directed at his wife.

Social media at its worst.

Andy Dalton puts end to lame 'Red Ryder BB gun' beef with JJ Watt

Right after Monday night's game at Paul Brown Stadium, the Texans' J.J. Watt and Bengals' Andy Dalton got into a public war of words after the defensive end joked on national television that "Our goal was to come out here and make the Red Rifle look like a Red Ryder BB Gun."

Dalton countered later Monday night during the post-game press conference by shooting back:

"I'm disappointed in [Watt's comments]. The integrity of this game -- I have a lot of respect for him. He's a really good player. There's a lot of kids and a lot of people who look up to him. For him to make comments like that, he's showing that's acceptable to do that kind of stuff, to say that kind of stuff. It's disappointing for one of the best players in this league to come out and say something like that. That's all I'm going to say about that. I think J.J. is a good player, but for him to be one of the best in this league and to show that integrity, and to show that type of ... it shows what he's about, which is disappointing."

Hence, one of the lamest feuds in NFL history was on.

OK. Dalton may have overreacted, but on Wednesday, like making a giant Wonder Bread sandwich, the Bengals quarterback spread a comfortable amount of Cheez Whiz between the two NFL stars:

"What I did wrong is that I responded to what somebody said that he said," Dalton said via ESPN.com. "I never even heard his interview. So I don't know the context in which it was said. I don't know what he said before, I don't know what he said after. My part, I shouldn't have reacted the way I did without hearing what he said and actually hearing what he said. I was responding to what an interviewer tells me he said.

"My reaction wasn't warranted just because, again, I haven't seen it. I'm not going to watch, I don't care. I've got no ill will toward J.J. There's no feud between me and J.J. We lost the game. He said what he said, and we're moving on. That's in the past now."

There it is, beef over, Don't forget the Miracle Whip.

Redskins and Texans players brawl at end of joint practice (VIDEO)

The joint portion of the final practice involving the Washington Redskins and Houston Texans came to an wild end Saturday when the intra-team scrimmage turned into a full-out brawl.

The teams had just started working against each other at the Richmond, Virginia facility when the first skirmish occurred. When more pushing and shoving continued on subsequent plays, and on both fields, the coaches decided to break the teams apart and each team worked on its own field for the rest of the session.

The change in plans caused Redskins coach Jay Gruden to agree the day was somewhat wasted.

''Initially we had a couple on our field on the offensive field, and I was just going to cut that period out and have everybody go to the side, let everybody cool down and finish practice,'' Gruden said, ''but then the other one broke out on the other field and it wasn't worth it. Injuries take place.

''Obviously, it wasn't a good situation, but we missed an opportunity to get better today against a good team.''

Gruden and Texans coach Bill O'Brien initially tried to let their teams know the fighting wasn't acceptable, but Gruden added: ''Unfortunately, it wasn't two people. It was a group of men'' and ''For whatever reason, it escalated into a nasty brawl.''

O'Brien said the Texans benefited from ''two and a half'' of their three days practicing against the Redskins. And both coaches agreed that joint workouts hold great value in helping to prepare a team for the start of the season.

''Other than having to separate today, we still got work done,'' O'Brien said. ''But the two days that we were together there, we got a lot of situational work. It was good to work against them. Being in the hotel as a team, there's some bonding that goes on there, too.''

J.J. Watt breaks personal record with 61-inch box jump (VIDEO)

Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt is already sort of a freak of nature. The 6-foot-5, 289-pounder not only sacks quarterbacks and catches touchdown passes, he has also been known to jump really high too.

In a new YouTube video published Monday by Reebok, Watt broke his own record at something called the box jump, springing himself 61 inches onto a pile of mats.

Incredibly, that's almost like landing on a standing Wes Welker's head — even with the cushioned helmet!

"Must have been the shoes, baby," he says, plugging the Reeboks.

Yeah... it's the shoes.

Texans quarterback Tom Savage hands off ball to invisible back (VIDEO)

When rookie Tom Savage first entered the Texans' game in Indianapolis against Colts, the noise from the hostile crowd made for a miserable start.

But things only got worse when was sacked on this botched exchange with running back Arian Foster who wasn't even there.

Savage held his own and finished the game with 10 completions on 19 passes for 127 yards. He was sacked once and threw one interception.

Ryan Fitzpatrick's son shows off math skills during postgame presser (VIDEO)

Houston Texans quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick went to Harvard, and his son Brady seems to have inherited a lot of pop's academic skills.

After Fitz put up big numbers — he threw for 358 yards and six touchdowns in a 45-21 victory over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday — young Brady dazzled everyone with a few of his own at the postgame press conference.

Fitzpatrick challenged a reporter to throw out a few random numbers at the end of the press conference and, in a matter of seconds, Brady was able to multiply 93 by 97 in his head.

Now if Brady can throw a football, Harvard will probably be calling soon.

J.J. Watt gives youth football team a speech they didn't expect and won't soon forget (VIDEO)

We all know J.J. Watt does a lot of good things on the football field — sacking quarterbacks, collecting fumbles and scoring pick-sixes — but the Texans defensive end also does nice deeds off of it as well.

The one-man wrecking crew was on his way home from practice late last month, when he saw a youth football team at their own practice and decided to stop by and give the young players a speech they'll probably be repeating to each other for a long time.

They are still kids so ... at least they'll be bragging about the time they met J.J. Watt.

Watt starts his speech by explaining why he showed up.

"I was on my way home and saw some football going on. I always like to stop out and see the game being played, especially at a young age. It's in its purest form," Watt says. "You guys come out here and you play for the love of the game."

The MVP candidate stresses the importance of teamwork and wraps it all up by telling the youngsters that whatever they end up pursuing in life: "Work hard at it."

Something he proves on the field every week of the NFL season.
