Nets-Bucks game was delayed because of a pickle on court (VIDEO)

The game between the Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks was briefly delayed on Monday night because of a pickle. Yes, a pickle.

Some fan tried to garnish the Barclays Center court with the half-eaten dill, but the officials were all over it — like mustard on corned beef.

I'm guessing the Bucks relished their 103-96 win.

Mayweather and Pacquaio meet up at Miami Heat game

The most awesome thing happened at a Miami Heat game and it had nothing to do with basketball.

After Manny Pacquaio’s flight was canceled due to Winter Storm Juno, he was at the Heat-Bucks game in Miami at the same time Floyd Mayweather showed up. The two fighters met at halftime, and shook hands after a few words and a once over. It was reportedly the first time either boxer had spoken to each other face-to-face although they have been mouthing off to each other via Twitter for what seems like ages.

According to the Associated Press, the meeting went down like this:

”PACQUIAO SAYS MAYWEATHER GAVE HIM HIS CELL NUMBER AND TOLD HIM IT’S TIME FOR THEM TO WORK THIS FIGHT OUT THEMSELVES. PAC SAYS HE GOT TOLD 1 MINUTE BEFORE HALFTIME THAT FLOYD WAS COMING OVER FOR A CHAT. PACQUIAO SAID HE NEVER SPOKE TO FLOYD IN PERSON BEFORE TONIGHT. THANK WINTER STORM JUNO IF THIS FIGHT EVER HAPPENS. PAC WASN’T SUPPOSED TO BE HERE TONIGHT — BUT HIS FLIGHT WAS CANCELED.”

It all raises the possibility of the two getting together to fight in what would likely be the highest grossing pay-per-view event in television history. Although they still don’t have a fight date maybe last night's personal touch will speed things up.

Asked to clarify if the exchange meant the two fighters would negotiate directly about meeting in the ring, Pacquiao said that was the case.

Mayweather did not respond to questions. “Not now,” one of his security guards said, as Mayweather punched in the digits.

Hopefully it wasn't another snow job.

Brandon Knight botches easy, game-winning layup (VIDEO)

Milwaukee Bucks guard Brandon Knight went from hero to zero faster than Jason Kidd as a Nets coach against Brooklyn Wednesday night at the Barclays Center.

With the game tied in the final seconds of the first overtime, Knight intercepted a pass by the Nets' Joe Johnson. Knight was able to get a look at a wide-open layup, but he put a little bit too much on the ball and missed the bunny.

And the reaction from the Bucks' bench is priceless:

So the game went to double overtime tied at 105-all.

Luckily, the Bucks guard redeemed himself with a clutch shot in the second OT and the Bucks pulled out an exciting 122-118 victory in the third overtime. 

Jason Kidd returns to chorus of boos in Brooklyn (VIDEO)

In Jason Kidd’s first game back in Brooklyn since leaving the Nets in June, fans welcomed him back with a chorus of boos Wednesday night at Barclays Center.

Kidd. who left this past summer to be the head coach for the Milwaukee Bucks, was booed and taunted as a traitor in the arena where his retired jersey hangs in the rafters.

It wasn't exactly a Mr. Kotter moment.

But it seemed like neither team wanted Kidd's return to end as the Bucks outlasted the Nets, 122-118, in three entertaining overtimes.

"I have bad hearing anyways. So I thought whatever the greeting was, it's about the players," Kidd said after the game. "People don't pay to come see the coach; they come to see the guys play."

Brandon Knight blocks own jump shot during game (VIDEO)

Can't really put my finger on what happened to Brandon Knight during this play but, it looks like someone  — or something — got their hands on the ball while the Bucks guard was lining up for an easy jump shot against the Pacers.

Considering that no one else was even within five feet of the ball, it begs the question: Is there such a thing as fouling yourself?

Bucks send custom ping pong balls to fans ahead of NBA Draft Lottery (PHOTO)

The Milwaukee Bucks have the distinction of finishing the regular season with the NBA's worst record and still found a way to put a nice spin on losing to their long-suffering fans.

Being the worst is normally nothing to brag about but, because of the team's ineptitude, the Bucks do have a a small glimmer of hope and a 25 percent chance of landing the number one pick in this year's Draft Lottery on May 20.

In order to get the fans excited about the fact that they will have more little white balls in the basket than any other team, the Bucks have shipped out custom ping pong balls with the Bucks logo on them, along with a card that reads “OWN THE FUTURE. WIN THE LOTTERY.”

The Bucks have also included a page explaining how the lottery works and what the team’s chances are of winning the lottery actually are.

Fans might want a definition of the word winning first.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Robert Hays reunite for 'Airplane!' spoof (VIDEO)

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Robert Hays are back in the pilot's seat for a hilarious series of Wisconsin tourism commercials.

The "Airplane!" duo have reprised their characters from the hit 1980 movie for the three television spots spoofing the iconic movie — the godfather of all film parodies.

Each promo begins with Hays' character Ted Striker — sitting alongside former NBA legend and Milwaukee Bucks star Abdul-Jabbar's alter-ego Roger Murdock — being told off for flying the aircraft too low.

Hays takes on board the message, before revealing the specific seasonal reason why he's doing so.

"I know, but Wisconsin is so beautiful in the summer. So much to do. Boating, fishing, biking, I wish I was down there," he says in the summer version.

Even the inflatable pilot doll, Otto, pops up for a cameo.

Abdul-Jabbar made his surprising comedic acting debut in the popular disaster film alongside the late Peter Graves before appearing in such basketball flicks like Forget Paris and Slam Dunk Ernest.

The three TV spots —  promoting the state in summer, fall and winter —  were presented Monday at the Wisconsin Governor's Conference on Tourism in Lake Geneva, according to the Journal-Sentinel.

Andrea Bargnani almost blows game with boneheaded shot (VIDEO)

Whether it's Italian or English, finding words to describe Andrea Bargnani's boneheaded overtime heave for the Knicks during Wednesday's game against the Bucks won't be necessary.

The reaction from the Knicks bench says it all — in any language.

The Knicks were up two in overtime, with only eleven seconds remaining, and they had the game in hand. Simply hold onto the ball, get fouled, make a couple free throws and go home happy.

Remember. These are the Knicks.

So Bargnani gets the pass and, from behind the arc, fires up a dumb shot that clanks off the rim. Milwaukee rebounded the ball and scored just as the extra period ended. 

How do you say bonehead in Italian? Osso testa?

Luckily for the Knicks, the team outlasted the Bucks, 107-101, in two OTs. 

Gerald Henderson's errant pass hits woman in face (VIDEO)

The Charlotte Bobcats were enjoying a second-quarter lead Friday night in their game against the lowly Milwaukee Bucks when guard Gerald Henderson threw a wild pass that ended up nailing a woman walking in the stands right in the face.

The woman collapsed right after the ball struck her, and as concerned onlookers rushed to her aid, the players nonchalantly went back to playing the game.

A Bobcats employee said on Twitter that the woman was taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons but was OK.

That same employee also said it was the woman's first-ever basketball game and that they gave her a pair of Henderson's shoes afterward:

Brooklyn Nets go undefeated in ridiculous tweet

Joe Johnson just hit a couple of late game shots for the Brooklyn Nets to tie the game in regulation and win it at the buzzer in an exciting 113-111 overtime win over the Milwaukee Bucks Tuesday night.

Not completely content to enjoy the thrilling victory on it's own merit, the optimistic Nets public relations crew pulled this ridiculous statistic from its computer and posted it on Twitter right after the game.

It might be someone's idea of a prank tweet — but it is technically correct. 

Hate to break the news to them. The glass-half-empty Nets are also 0-22 when they are on the short end of a score.
