High school football player charged with assaulting coach: Report

A Georgia high school football player lost his cool and shoved his head coach during a game last week, authorities said.

Defensive lineman Keewan Willams shoved coach Chad Davenport with hard enough force that he fell to the ground, according to the Atlanta Journal- Constitution, citing a local WSBTV news report.

Williams was charged with one count of battery.

The attack occurred last week at a game between Northview High School, where Williams attends, and Chattahoochee High School in Fulton County, authorities said.

The push was hard enough to send the coach onto the field from the sideline.

“It was pretty forceful.  He went all the way from the sideline to the 30,” said a witness.  “I know Coach McCoy, our weight lifting coach, had to hold Davenport back because he was really mad.”

Citing privacy laws, Fulton County school officials wouldn’t say whether Williams was suspended or expelled from school.

Porn star claims Flyers' Michael Del Zotto is 'constantly pestering her to arrange dates': Report

An angry porn star has publicly named and shamed Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Michael Del Zotto claiming the NHL player is "constantly pestering her to arrange dates" as his wingman.

Adult film actress and director Lisa Ann posted a string of embarrassing messages on Twitter suggesting the athlete persistently asks her to set up a rendezvous with other women.

She calls him the "most annoying texter in the history of my life'"and adds: "Strange, most guys want to date me, not use me to find other dates."

The 42-year old adult film star recently made news after she was photographed with a Notre Dame football player, Justin Brent, at a New York Knicks game.

The 24-year-old Del Zotto was a New York Rangers first-round draft choice in 2008 and played in there from 2009 until 2014, when the Blueshirts traded him to the Nashville Predators.

But Nashville wouldn't re-sign him, and Del Zotto, known for his off-ice reputation, became a free agent until Philadelphia Flyers signed him this summer on a one-year contract.

Lisa Ann has been in the adult film industry for more than 20 years - while also making mainstream appearances on the the Howard Stern Show and in a music video for rapper Eminem.

As well as posting the revelations about Del Zotto's questionable dating methods, the porn star also told her 750,000 followers the story of how they became acquainted.

She wrote: "(S)hort story... It all started about 2 years ago when I was hosting an event @MichaelDelZotto reached out to the promoter to meet me.

"I looked him up, he was with the Rangers at the time, looked cute, I thought ok, Pro Athlete, he won't try to kill or rob me, so sure I will.

"So, we go on a date, its nice, hang out- yada yada yada... about a week later he started asking if could hook him up with girls on the road.

"I say NO... I say YO, you are a cute kid, you can pull tail, if not have your agent do it.. just don't ask me....

"After 4 months of going to games and explaining that to him, I finally gave up.. so about a year goes by and we don't talk..

"We reconnect and start talking and we get right back to this before we even had another date our selves.. I did warn him of this outcome."

I guess she has high standards.

Nik Wallenda breaks two death-defying tightrope records while blindfolded (VIDEO)

For those of you who think Ben Roethlisberger's second straight game throwing six touchdowns Sunday night was pretty grandiose, ask yourself, "Could he do it blindfolded?

Well that's exactly how Nik Wallenda successfully did a nerve-wracking, daredevil high-wire challenge airing at the same time as the Steelers-Ravens game last night. Wearing a blindfold!

Wallenda (of the famed family of highwire performers) crossed the Chicago River on a tightrope at a height of more than 50 stories — walking at a 19-degree incline for the Discovery Channel. He made it more difficult by doing it blindfolded and without a safety harness or net between the west and east Marina City towers.

The man with real nerves of steel slid his feet along the wire and followed a pinging sound as his father guided him. Footage, airing on the Discovery Channel, ran on a 10-second delay so producers could cut away if he fell to his death. He said his only back-up plan if things went wrong would be to attempt to kneel and cling to the wire with his feet.

Even while Wallenda was still carefully shuffling his way across the Chicago River, that bastion of information, Wikipedia, already declared him dead.

And other social media commentators quipped about Chicago's reputation for gun violence — saying Wallenda was safer 50 flights above the street than trying to walk across it.

Here's the view Wallenda missed seeing:

Indiana basketball player cited for running over teammate with car: Report

An Indiana University basketball player was cited Saturday for misdemeanor underage drinking after he struck a teammate with his SUV, leaving the victim hospitalized with a serious head injury.

Emmitt Holt and his passengers claimed the bizarre incident occurred when they had dropped off Devin Davis, a 19-year-old sophomore, off at the Memorial Stadium parking lot about 12:45 a.m. Saturday, according to Bloomington police.

Holt, a top freshman recruit, was driving away “when, for unknown reasons, Davis came into the roadway and struck the side of the vehicle near the front passenger windshield,” said Sgt. Jeffery Canada.

Police found Davis unconscious with a head injury on the street that’s just off the IU campus. Holt’s Jeep Liberty had damage to its passenger side, front fender and windshield, Canada said.

Senior assistant athletic director J.D. Campbell said in a news release that Davis is in serious condition.

Holt was cited for misdemeanor illegal consumption of alcohol, and for being under age 21 and operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol content above 0.02, Canada said. The school's release said Holt's BAC was 0.025.

Canada did not know whether blood tests had been done on Davis to determine whether he had been drinking, and said the investigation is continuing.

Coach Tom Crean said in the school's statement that his "thoughts are with Devin and his family."

Canucks' Tom Sestito whiffs big time on body check (VIDEO)

Canucks forward Tom Sestito was making his season debut on Saturday night against the Edmonton Oilers and he was looking to make a big impact.

Too bad only the boards felt it.

Early in the first period he had his sights set on Matt Hendricks — who was handling the puck below the goal line. Sestito committed himself to the hit but all he got was air.

Penn State players facing discipline in egg-throwing incident: Report

Four Penn State football players were cited after what officials call an egg-throwing incident at a campus building the night before Halloween.

Since three of the Nittany Lions players are from New Jersey, we'll just call it "Mischief Night."

Team officials confirmed Saturday that center Wendy Laurent, defensive end Garrett Sickels, tight end Brent Wilkerson and reserve safety Anthony Smith were involved in Thursday night's incident at Beaver Hall, according to Pennlive.com.

According to Centre County court records, all were issued non-traffic criminal mischief citations.

Coach James Franklin said after Saturday's game against Maryland that the situation would be addressed with the administration, the players and their families.

He said egg-throwing was "far down the totem pole" among the problems in college athletics, but "It still needs to be fixed. I can guarantee it will be."

Laurent, Wilkerson and Sickles all played in Saturday's 20-19 loss to Maryland. Laurent made his first career start because of injuries to the offensive line.

Syracuse trick play against NC State goes all wrong (VIDEO)

Syracuse attempted a trick play against North Carolina State on Saturday. It was a jet sweep, reverse, flea flicker ... I think.
