Kate Upton takes heat from other models for personal bodyguard

Model Kate Upton's curves have garnered her numerous modeling gigs and, most recently, the rare Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover two years in a row.  Now the hotter than hot cover girl has gotten herself a personal bodyguard to protect her assets.

To men it might seem like the greatest job in the world, but her model friends are giving her even more heat and calling it "ridiculous."

"She goes everywhere with her bodyguard.  And she's the only one who travels with one," a source told The New York Daily News Confident@l.  "The fame may have gone to her head a bit."

The visible 24-hour detail was uncovered when one of the hulking guardians was spotted filming Upton backstage at the "Late Night with David Letterman" show — when she was there for the SI swimsuit cover reveal a couple of weeks ago.  When CBS security told the man to "put it away," he replied,  "But I'm Kate Upton's bodyguard."

It sounds like the beefy bodyguards might be there to protect Upton from other "bitchy" bikini models.

"The other girls don't feel it's fair that she got the cover twice.  They think Kate thinks she's just too cool now," the source added.

2010's swimsuit cover girl, Brooklyn Decker, has come to Upton's defense.  She knows what it's like to be thrust into the limelight and tweeted her support.  She wrote, "Congratulations Ms.@kateupton !! making history!" after this year's cover girl was revealed.

Too bad some of the other models think they should have been the one getting frostbite on the  Antarctica shoot.

"It's hard, it's like a sorority with the girls.  When they say congrats to Kate, it's just fake," the source said. "Everyone thinks it's unfair and they're bummed. Every girl thinks it's their time."

The source said Upton knows some of her fellow catwalk strutters have their claws out and is hurt by the fact.

A spokesperson for Upton said, "She hired him because she has been on the road.  She's a sex icon now, there are crazy weirdos out there.  There are drunk men around.  He's not 24 hours for Kate, he's actually for all the girls.  He helps everyone."

Everyone except the drunk weirdos.

Brooklyn Decker is happy her name is associated with Nets-Celtics brawl

The New York Daily News has always been known as one of two New York City tabloids known for their sometimes off-beat front and back page headlines.

After the Brooklyn Nets beat the Boston Celtics Wednesday night — following a first half brawl and three ejections — the editors of the News' sports section came up with the following banner for the back page:

"BROOKLYN DECKERS ... Nets floor Celts as Kris, Rondo brawl"

Not too exciting, except if your name happens to be Brooklyn Decker.

The beautiful actress and supermodel wife of former pro tennis star Andy Roddick shares the same name and took notice of the headline after it went viral.  She sounded honored to see her name used to describe the NBA scrum splashed across the back page.

She excitedly tweeted the following message to her 412,000 followers on Thursday:

"The fact that my name is associated with an nba brawl (in any sort of capacity) makes me happier than you can imagine" she said.

The American model made bigger headlines when she graced the cover of the 2010 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue holding a tiny yellow bikini.

One has to wonder how long the Daily News copywriters were keeping that "Brooklyn Decker" headline in the think tank.

Brooklyn Decker admits Gisele Bundchen is her #1 crush

Brooklyn Decker's beauty may make men stop dead in their tracks, but this model-turned-actress (aren't they all) who will be appearing in the upcoming big screen adaption of the board game "Battleship" says she could be considered "slightly crazy."

Decker strips down to her undies in the May issue of GQ magazine and reveals she has sides of her personality that not many people know.

Besides relating to the Kristen Wiig character's inner soul in "Bridesmaids," the 25-year old Decker tells the magazine she also has a big crush on Brazilian super model Gisele Bundchen— the wife of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

"I have a a top-five list, and Gisele is is my number one.  She can do no wrong in my eyes," the wife of pro-tennis star Andy Roddick gushes to GQ.  "Well, everyone has a top-five list of their biggest crushes, you know?  Usually, it's guys on my list , but Gisele is just so perfect in every way."

Patriots fans may disagree with the 'She can do no wrong' part (isn't there some jinx or something?) but I'm sure they'll leave Brooklyn to her fantasies.

Decker added she's embarrassed to admit a similar crush on singer Dave Matthews.  Isn't that the "Ants Marching" guy?

Anyway, the first question Gisele would probably ask Brooklyn is: 'Can you throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time?'
