Odell Beckham Jr. becomes new NFL spokesperson for Head & Shoulders (VIDEO)

It looks like Odell Beckham Jr. took that New York Giants' 'Spa Day' a just a little too seriously.

Just a day after coach Tom Coughlin let Giants players choose from an array of body-soothing therapies such as a massage, yoga and placing their legs in compression boots instead of practice, Procter & Gamble released a 70-second YouTube video on Friday to announce Beckham Jr. as the new NFL spokesperson for Head & Shoulders, one of its most recognizable brands.



The second-year NFL player will become the "hair apparent" to replace Troy Polamalu, who retired in April, and shoulder a bulk of the ad time for the dandruff shampoo.

Beckham, along his with two-toned, blonde frohawk, became a sensation in just three months last fall. And besides catching 91 passes, including this well known grab, for 1,305 yards and 12 TDs in 12 games, the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year has landed numerous other endorsement deals.

Just guessing we'll be seeing OBJ's one-handed lather soon.

Antrel Rolle goes off on Twitter after Pro-Bowl snub

Antrel Rolle has never been one to keep his opinions to himself.  So it was no surprise that after the New York Giants strong safety was selected to join the NFL Pro Bowl team as an alternate, the outspoken Rolle vented his displeasure at not being voted to the team outright.

Rolle, who picked off six passes and has a team-high 93 tackles this season, took to Twitter to express his frustration at the perceived snub.

“Tell me which safety has better numbers and made more game changing plays than me this year???? I’ll wait!!!!” Rolle wrote. “This probowl sh-- is a joke.”

Rolle was named a second alternate. He finished behind Kansas City's Eric Berry, Seattle's Kam Chancellor and Pittsburgh's Troy Polamalu. 

While some of these are deserving names, others seem to have made the list based strictly on name — or hair — recognition. Rolle leads all safeties in interceptions and has one of the lowest opposing quarterback ratings, according to Pro Football Focus.

Troy Polamalu prays on sidelines during 55-31 loss to Patriots (Video)

Troy Polamalu is one of the most spiritual players in the NFL but even a direct line to who art in heaven (and not Art Rooney) could have helped the Steelers avoid a 55-31 thrashing by the Patriots.

That didn't stop the Pittsburgh defensive back from making the sign of the cross more than a few times while on the pew bench at Gillette Stadium as the game was winding down.

Maybe he was just signaling for the Father, the Son and the Galloping Ghost.

Mark Sanchez: If Obama can take a joke, so can I

Mark Sanchez is flying high after Sunday's convincing win over the Buffalo Bills and won't let doubters or even cartoonists get him down.  Last night the New York Jets quarterback and a couple of Flight Crew cheerleaders hit a promotional event in Manhattan and Sanchez even joked about being caricatured as a clown in a newspaper NFL guide.

Sanchez, Tim Tebow and Rex Ryan were drawn as clowns in a car in The New York Post NFL 2012 guide last week — a poke at the circus-like atmosphere surrounding the team.

On Sunday, Sanchez made a statement on the field.  Last night, he said he didn't mind the drawing and, if the nation's Commander-in-Chief could take a jab, so could he.

"I mean it's a cartoon," Sanchez said last night.  "Do you think President Obama feels bad when they make political cartoons about him?"

The much-maligned quarterback said if he couldn't take a joke, then how could he take any hits from opposing defenders on the field.

"It's part of the deal if you're gonna play in New York," he said. "If you can't handle that, how are you gonna handle getting ready for [James] Harrison, [LaMarr] Woodley and Troy Polamalu?"

"If you can't handle that stuff, you can't play," he added.

Sanchez had another reason to feel presidential.  After the 48-28 rout of the Bills, he was spotted celebrating the win with his new flame — actress Eva Longoria.

While Sunday's win was a nice start to the season, Sanchez knows it going to take more than thick skin and the gaze of a beautiful woman to keep his mind off of his critics.

"It almost seems like people are looking for us to feel vindicated or, 'Oh, he's proven something now,' because the preseason didn't go the way we wanted to, but the reality of it is it's one game," Sanchez told The New York Post.

"Did we play well?  Absolutely. No doubt," he said.  "But that's nothing to hang your hat on.  That's the most important thing for our guys moving forward, just to realize that.  As soon as your head hits the pillow tonight and, really, last night, that one's over."

Now that the cat is out of the bag about Sanchez's relationship with the "Desperate Housewives" star, can the Wildcat follow suit?
