Jessie James Decker announces she's doing concert during halftime of Jets-Pats game

If Jets fans thought they heard the last of Jessie James Decker this season, think again.

James Decker, the tweet happy wife of Jets receiver Eric Decker, announced Thursday morning that she will be doing a concert during halftime of the Jets-Patriots game on Dec. 21 at MetLife Stadium.

How did the country singer — known for defending her oft-injured hubby on her social media accounts — give fans the news?  By Twitter of course:

Eric Decker blows off Jets practice to attend awards show with wife: Report

Newly signed New York Jets wide receiver Eric Decker skipped the team’s OTAs Wednesday to attend the CMT Awards in Nashville.

Decker is married to country singer Jessie James and the duo were scheduled to be presenters at the show.

Decker, who signed a five-year, $36.25 million contract with the Jets in March, decided to hear Kenny Chesney play instead of going over the playbook with Geno Smith.

Jets coach Rex Ryan, who likes to brag about his team’s offseason attendance, said he did not have an issue with Decker, who will also miss Thursday's voluntary practice.

“Well, speaking as a married guy, absolutely recommended that you would go to that,” Ryan joked.

"So that would be recommended I think. You ask for their support. You need to support them, too. This really is voluntary camps, there’s no doubt about it. Things like this pop up. This is the time to do it. It’s not like it happened during the season. Certainly we support Eric and things. He’d be treated no different than any other teammate regardless of how much they’re making."

It seems like an odd decision considering Decker is learning a new offense and the Jets are limited to 10 OTA practices. Decker will return to the team Friday.

Jets' Eric Decker, Jessie James have baby girl: Report

It's been a week of big news for the Jets new wideout Eric Decker.

Decker — who signed a five-year deal with the Jets on March 12 — and wife Jessie James just welcomed a baby girl, Vivian Rose, into the world Tuesday.

James is a country singer. Both he and the new mom are also star of E!'s reality show "Eric and Jessie: Game On", though the birth wasn't filmed for the show reported  E! News.

It was the couple's first child.

The NFL star's wife shared an Instagram photo lying in a hospital bed at the start of labor with the caption, "Lots of tears, nerves, smiles and excitement! Just so anxious to meet our baby girl."

The first go-round proved to be a false alarm Friday when James thought the baby was coming.

"Jessie went into the hospital yesterday at 3:30 p.m. and at 5:36 a.m. this morning, Vivianne Rose Decker was born, weighing 8lbs., 2 oz. with a full head of hair!" a rep for the pair told  E! News.

"Both mom and daughter are doing well," the rep added.

Eric Decker spotted on flight to Newark for meeting with Jets: Report

Was Eric Decker headed to New Jersey for a visit with the Jets? That certainly seems possible after multiple people tweeted they were with him on a flight to Newark.

By piecing together information from some of their other tweets, it’s apparent that two people at least believe they saw Decker on United flight 1730, which took off from Denver at 5:59 p.m. MT and landed at Newark at 11:17 p.m. ET.

The report was later confirmed by multiple sources.

The last time Decker came to Jersey he all but disappeared during the Super Bowl. But the former Bronco is still one of the top wide receiver free agents on the market and the Jets desperately need to revamp their receiving corps.

And Decker's country singer wife, Jessie James, would be a nice distraction for Gang Green fans.
