Derek Jeter finds himself in restricted waters with fiancee Hannah Davis

Derek Jeter might have been captain of the New York Yankees, but when it comes to navigating actual waterways, the former shortstop is more like the Skipper of the S.S. Minnow than a five-time World Series winner.

At least on the Fourth of July when the Yankees icon was issued a $250 fine and $30 processing fee for boating in a restricted area near MacDill Air Force Base off the coast of Tampa while enjoying a day on the water with his fiancee Hannah Davis. 

But it was what the Air Force security team who detained Jeter and his beautiful first mate did afterwards what probably hurt Jeets the most. That's because an active-duty Air Force member posted a photo of the citation on Facebook with the caption, “On behalf of the Boston Red Sox, here is your ticket Derek Jeter.”

The post was later deleted but not before a screenshot was picked up for all to see.

On Tuesday, the Air Force issued a news release apologized about posting the citation on social media and said they would be disciplining the airman who made the post.

"This action is totally inconsistent with Air Force values and the responsible Airman will face the appropriate disciplinary action," MacDill spokesman Terry Montrose said. "We sincerely apologize to Mr. Jeter for any inconvenience."

It is unclear how close Jeter drifted towards the military base, but signs are posted about 2,500 feet from the shoreline warning boaters to stay away.

Derek Jeter finally shed his bachelorhood this week by popping the question to the stunning Sports Illustrated model Hannah Davis.

And while the attractive pair were rumored to be dating for about three years, the former Yankees star was known almost as much for his romantic life as he was for his five-time World Series championships.

No more random dating, but maybe the pride of Kalamazoo didn't expect a ring to come between him and his beloved Michigan team.

Derek Jeter’s Michigan HOF induction postponed by aircraft troubles: Report

It'll be see ya next year for one hall of fame awaiting Derek Jeter.

The former Yankee captain, who was set to be inducted into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame on Thursday, will have to try again in 2016 after mechanical issues grounded his aircraft and kept him from leaving a New Jersey airport.

The Detroit News reported, not one but two private planes ready to fly out of Teterboro Airport both had "serious" mechanical issues and Jeter had to inform Hall of Fame officials he couldn't make it.

Jeter, who was born in Jersey but went to high school in Kalamazoo before his legendary 20-year career with the Yankees, retired after last season.

ESPN reported that Jeter had planned to take a private plane out on Thursday, but the aircraft encountered mechanical problems. Organizers say the former Yankee shortstop will be inducted next year instead.

"According to the Flight Tracker website, a Journey Aviation flight was scheduled to leave Teterboro just before 3 p.m. and arrive at Detroit Metro shortly before 5," wrote the Detroit News' Tony Paul.

"According to the website, that plane never took off. Hall of Fame officials said one of the planes did take off, but had to return to the terminal."

The event still had plenty of big names to honor Thursday night. The induction ceremony also included baseball Hall of Famer Barry Larkin, Michigan State men’s basketball coach Tom Izzo, NHL greats Sergei Fedorov and Mike Modano, swimmer and Olympic gold medalist Sheila Taormina, bowler Aleta Sill and former Detroit Lions defensive tackle Doug English.

For all you yahoos wondering if Hannah Davis’ sexy Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover meant the stunning model was somehow moving on from boyfriend Derek Jeter — dream on.

Davis may be showing off the goods, but she and the former Yankees captain were spotted celebrating her controversial cover together at the Manhattan hot spot,  Hunt & Fish Club, on Saturday night.

We’re told the couple entered the restaurant separately, then were joined by a small group of friends and family inside.

Despite the drama surrounding Davis’ risqué cover shot, one impressed spy exclaimed: “Hannah is breathtakingly beautiful. Even dressed in jeans and a sweater, she had the dining room buzzing. While men were talking about Hannah, the women were excited to get a glimpse of ‘Captain Clutch.’”

Davis has defended the SI image that shows her pulling her bikini down low, saying, “I think . . . it’s the year of the torso.”

And, in case you miss old No. 2, Jeter will also be in the spotlight this weekend. He is scheduled to join Peyton Manning as the designated athletes among the hosts appearing on a special broadcast celebrating the 40th anniversary of "Saturday Night Live."

Remember. Retired or not, he’s still Derek Jeter.

Derek Jeter can't find baseball team to buy: Report

Pity poor Derek Jeter. And I don't mean poor in a financial sense. Or any sense, come to think of it.

The retired former Yankees shortstop has a sizable amount of cash at his disposal (net worth $185 million) with plenty of investors more than willing to throw money at the thought of partnering with the MLB legend. But sadly for The Captain, he reportedly still isn’t having any luck when it comes to buying his own Major League Baseball team.

“There are no teams available,” says Fox Business Network’s Charlie Gasparino. “Jeter is telling people he is modeling his post-baseball career after Michael Jordan’s,” a reference to his NBA counterpart's purchase of the Charlotte Hornets.

In the meantime, Jeter has been meeting with Goldman Sachs bankers hoping to follow in the steps of his former boss and mentor, the late George Steinbrenner.

“As he’s waiting for a potential team to open up, he’s putting a lot of time into this Web site, theplayerstribune.com . . . He’s looking for financing for this as well as to expand,” Gasparino said.

With the average MLB team price hovering around $811 million (High end: Yankees worth $2.5 billion, bargain basement: Tampa Bay Rays at $485 million), Jeets might have to spend more time cuddling with his girl, Hannah Davis, than huddling with lawyers.

Earlier this month, the ex-Yankee was spotted getting a tour of Marlins Park, fueling speculation he was interested in the team, but has denied it.

Contrary to what Jeter says publicly, rumors still swirl that the one-time Face of Baseball does want to become the head of a MLB team.

Derek Jeter is reconciling with his model girlfriend Hannah Davis following a brief split, sources told Page Six of the New York Post.

The gossip site said the Yankee shortstop and the Virgin Islands-born model— who went their separate ways a few weeks before Valentine's Day after just less than a year of dating —  are now trying to work things out. 

The move comes after the Yankees captain announced his retirement at the end of the season, and his desire to start a family.

Meanwhile, Davis’ modeling career is blossoming — she appears in a variety of sexy bikinis for her second spread in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue this year. And — despite her near-naked photos — claims she is somehow insecure about her body.

“I’m looking for a bubble butt that I don’t have,” she told Page Six Tuesday night at a party celebrating the issue. “I work with what I got, which is a lot of arching of the back and boobs forward. There’s a lot that goes into these pictures.”

She described the posteriors of this year's cover girls Lily Aldridge, Chrissy Teigen and Nina Agdal as perfection.

“Yes! Did you see that cover? Their butts look amazing!”

No argument here.

Davis didn't look too bad either when she was photographed at the Jersey Shore for the magazine.

When Derek Jeter and his girlfriend Hannah Davis stepped out of a Manhattan Starbucks Wednesday morning, it wasn't the Yankee shortstop's slight limp or the swimsuit model's runway strut that caught New Yorkers' eyes— it was the elegant diamond ring on her finger that got their attention.

The stunning 23-year-old Davis was seen sporting a very large diamond on her ring finger. And surely enough — faster than you can say back on the disabled list — rumors immediately swirled that the two may soon be tying the knot.

Fans looking to see the 39-year-old Jeter finally settle down— after a non-stop procession of celebrity girlfriends over the years— including Mariah Carey and Minka Kelly — might have to wait a little longer. 

Word is Jeter and Davis aren't walking down the aisle and, according to E! News, her sparkling accessory isn't an engagement ring after all.

"Hannah is not engaged," said the E! News source. "It's just a ring that she really likes."

In fact, this isn't even the first time that Davis has been spotted sporting the same piece of bling.

Two weeks ago, she flashed the same ring at the after-party for a screening of Lovelace in New York City. She later posted an Instagram photo from the party.

It looks that way after New York's No. 1 bachelor was spotted leaving a Manhattan Starbucks Wednesday morning with his latest girlfriend Hannah Davis — who was sporting a large diamond on her ring finger, according to Confidenti@l of the N.Y. Daily News.

Jeter and the 23-year-old Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, who has been called “the next Kate Upton,” began dating last summer.

A representative for Jeter didn’t return the gossip site's request for comment, but a spokesman for Davis said, “We don’t comment on our clients’ personal lives.”

But the bling is definitely an engagement ring, according to one Diamond District jewelry expert, who told Confidenti@l the piece is “elegant.”

Davis has likely helped Jeter get through his current stint on the disabled list due to a strained calf after a long winter rehabbing his surgically-repaired ankle. All that comforting leaves a lot of time to talk and possibly make long-term plans.

Jeter — who has five World Series rings of his own —was not photographed wearing any adornments on his finger.

Over Jeter’s illustrious 19-year career — on and off the field — the Captain has notched 3,300 hits and what seems like nearly as many A-list girlfriends on his personal roster.  Jeter dating lineup has included Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Mariah Carey, Jordana Brewster, Minka Kelly, Vanessa Minnillo (now Lachey), Gabrielle Union, former Miss Universe Lara Dutta and Adriana Lima. He’s also been linked to Scarlett Johansson.

On Tuesday, the 39-year-old shortstop took batting practice and is expected to head to Tampa at the conclusion of the team’s homestand for further rehab.

It sounds like Derek Jeter has gone from CAT scans to catwalks as he finishes rehabbing his left ankle and gets ready to return to the New York Yankees roster.

Jeter's rumored new lady, Hannah Davis, is heating up the latest issue of Ocean Drive Magazine.

The "Sports Illustrated" swimsuit model has been spotted getting cozy with the Yankee captain and she is now making a splash in the magazine's summer issue. But when asked about her relationship with the ballplayer, the stunning 23-year-old remains coy. "I would rather go to a Yankees game than a Mets game," she said. "That's my final answer."

Davis might be enough to keep even old Jeets down in Florida this summer.

Derek Jeter's latest girlfriend, Hannah Davis, has apparently made a big splash during her first Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue photo shoot and is believed to be a frontrunner for this year's prized cover shot.

The 22-year-old Ralph Lauren and Victoria's Secret model is being compared to last year's SI swimsuit sensation and cover girl, Kate Upton, according to the New York Post.

The shoots have just wrapped up, and we're told green-eyed Davis made a "rare, huge first impression" on the SI editors for her rookie issue, a source said.

Davis, who was spotted clubbing with the 38-year-old Jeter in August and meeting him at Manhattan's Gramercy Park Hotel in December, has stuck with Jeter through thick and thin — literally.

The Yankees shortstop is rehabbing from ankle surgery and put on a few pounds after the October operation but that didn't stop him from hobbling up to the Gramercy in his walking boot for a rendezvous with Davis.  When last seen at a Knicks game a few weeks ago, Jeter looked fit and tanned.

Davis, who was born in the Virgin Islands, seems to fit Jeter's type (hot) and just might end up as the SI swimsuit model rookie-of-the-year.

Talk about luck.  What are the chances you start dating a woman and six months later she's an SI cover girl.  The good life just never ends for the Yankees Captain.  Minka who?

Derek Jeter — whether chubby, fat or just photographed at an odd angle — still looks better than most people — and has the women to prove it.

On Monday night, the New York Yankees shortstop was back in New York and spotted rekindling a romance with an old flame in a romantic Manhattan setting.

Jeter was seen at the Gramercy Park Hotel with pretty brunette model Hannah Davis, reports The New York Post.

"They were in the hotel bar late," said a spy. "They got on the elevator and went upstairs.  he mentioned to the waitress that he hadn't seen her in a month because she doesn't like Florida, but he's working on changing that."

Funny, because it was beginning to sound like Jeets just couldn't fit through the door of his St. Petersburg mansion after reports that New York's No. 1 bachelor had added some poundage during his off season recovery from ankle surgery.

Davis, meanwhile, has no problem squeezing into a tiny swimsuit.

Jeter had been spending time in Miami while recovering from the October operation.  He is still sporting a walking boot but is confident he will be ready for Opening Day.

The couple reportedly 'hugged and kissed, and looked very happy," said The Post.

The source added that despite the photos which showed Jeter had put on a few inches, he looked in "pretty good shape."

One must wonder if the infamous Jeter swag bag now comes with candy bars or Slim Fast.

Jeter trades in Minka for new model Hannah Davis

Derek Jeter is playing the field once again.  The New York Yankees shortstop's love life seemed like it had been in a slump until he was spotted hitting Manhattan hot spots with Ralph Lauren model Hannah Davis Monday night.

The happy couple took in a performance by singer/model Jenny Bapst at Meatpacking hangout Double Seven, according to Page Six of The New York Post.

"They were flirting, having a really great time, and were sitting close together," said a spy.

All is well in the Yankees Universe once again.

"They are an item on the quiet," said another source.  "Derek and Hannah left separately, but she met up with him later."

Sounds like she wants one of those overnight courtesy swag bags the Captain is famous for.

The 22-year old Davis seems to fit the criteria Jeter seems to favor.  The green-eyed beauty models for Victoria's Secret and she knows how to keep quiet herself.  The two have been reportedly seeing each  for several months and were seen dining together in Tampa in March.

Jeter has been linked to many high-profile dark-haired women over the years.  There was Mariah Carey, Vanessa Minnillo, Jessica Biel and someone named Lara Dutta but it was Minka Kelly who many thought would lasso New York's No. 1 bachelor.  Kelly traded in her Yankees cap for a Fez when she started dating Wilmer Valderrama last winter.

Since then, Jeter's love life had been really quiet— which is how the notoriously publicity-shy ballplayer likes it.

Since Jeter and Kelly's split, there have been reports of a sex-tape involving the actress and an ex-boyfriend (not Jeter) has been making the rounds.

It looks like Jeter just hit another one out of the park.
