DeSean Jackson has customized 'I can't breathe' cleats made for Giants game (PHOTO)

Many athletes are throwing their support behind the protests recognizing the death of Eric Garner by wearing 'I can't breathe' t-shirts in pre-game warmups.

Garner, who died while in a New York City police officer's chokehold, is heard on an eyewitness video saying 'I can't breathe' several times right before he took his last breath. A grand jury chose not to indict the police officer in Garner's death.

Now it appears that Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson will be showing his support during a game when Washington plays the Giants in New Jersey on Sunday.

Jackson had his friend Marcus Rivero design a customized pair of "I can't breathe cleats" for the game at MetLife Stadium.

Rivero created the cleats this week and posted a picture of them to Instagram with the caption: "This pair was done as a symbolism for the recent events. [Jackson] requested these, I just made his idea a Reality. Thanks again Desean."

Rivero told TMZ in October that customizing a pair of cleats can cost a player up to $1,000.

Just wondering how much an NFL fine for wearing the shoes might cost.

DeSean Jackson blasts Redskins teammates on Instagram: Report

The Washington Redskins were already familiar with DeSean Jackson's abilities on the field, but now they are finding out why the Eagles were less than thrilled with the wideout's excessive antics off of it — especially with his activity on Instagram and Twitter — and let him go.

On Monday, Jackson was at it again and appeared to take aim, while using some pretty graphic language, at his Redskins teammates with the message below posted to his Instagram account.

Jackson's post comes hours after a 27-7 Redskins' loss at the hands of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Sunday afternoon, so it's not hard to see who he was blaming.

Of course this could just be a case of Jackson being frustrated, however the tone of his post sure seems to blame everyone else.

Eagles taking DeSean Jackson banner down from Lincoln Financial Field: Report

It looks like the Philadelphia Eagles and DeSean Jackson have officially become consciously uncoupled.

According to this tweet below, accompanied by a photo taken outside of Lincoln Financial Field on Tuesday, the Eagles are removing a huge banner of a player who — though the uniform number doesn't appear to be No. 10 — looks like Jackson, the wide receiver they released Friday amid reports of attitude problems and connections to reputed gang members.

The banner has been hanging for months, and, although it was never clear who it was,  looks like a hybrid of former receiver James Thrash's body and jersey (No. 80) with D-Jac's face in the helmet.
Other banners hanging nearby are equally as ambiguous, but nonetheless the only one coming down looks like Jackson — and fans are buzzing on social media, reports NJ.com.

When reached for comment, the Eagles — who insist the banner is of a generic player, not Jackson — would say only that the banner was previously scheduled to be removed because of construction.

Vikings players won't help up DeSean Jackson (GIF)

Despite catching 10 passes for 195 yards and a touchdown, DeSean Jackson was involved in a sideline dispute that was caught by network cameras during the Eagles crucial loss to the Vikings.

Adding insult to injury (Jackson was held to 38 yards on the ground) was this video of Jackson looking for help after a play, only to have all of the Minnesota Vikings players refuse to offer a hand.

Luckily for the battered Jackson, a compassionate ref was there to help him up.

DeSean Jackson's crazy birthday cakes (PHOTO)

DeSean Jackson celebrated his 27th birthday on Sunday only like "Jaccpot" can.

Check out this picture the Eagles receiver posted on his Instagram of his two birthday cakes, which are in the shape of a Mercedes Benz and a stack of $100 dollar bills.

Rollin' and rainin'.

DeSean Jackson: Keeping Vick is 'no-brainer' for Eagles

DeSean Jackson sounded thrilled at the prospect of playing under new head coach Chip Kelly but what would make him really happy is for Michael Vick to return as the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback.

The Eagles wide receiver even went as far as to call it a "no-brainer" during an interview with the NFL Network on Friday.

"For sure I can see it," Jackson told the network at the Super Bowl in New Orleans. "Now that Chip Kelly is our offensive coordinator, I mean our head coach, Michael Vick I think it's a no-brainer to keep him here.  It fits his playing style and what he's done perfect."

The 33-year-old Vick, who has the second-highest base salary of any NFL quarterback, is coming off his worst season ever and the Eagles don't have to pay his $15.5 million salary if they don't want to. That is unless Kelly convinces the organization that Vick would be a perfect fit for his explosive offensive style.

Canadian football player's backpeddling celebration backfires

While some NFL camps are opening today here is a reminder why the NFL is so much better than the Canadian Football League's version up north.

Chris Williams of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats grabbed a missed field goal by the Montreal Alouettes (there's no French in football)) seven yards deep in his own end zone, ran down the field before he started to celebrate by backpedaling into the other end zone and got tackled on the one yard line.

Maybe he thought he was still playing in the lower forty-eight and forgot that the Canadian field of play is 10 yards longer.

Anyway, Williams re-enactment of DeSean Jackson or Leon Lett's premature celebrations turned his spectacular 117-yard touchdown run into an 116-yard fail.

The Tiger Cats scored on the next play so all was forgiven, eh?
