Now a mother, identified as "Sharon from Wales," believes Suarez is to blame after her son was bitten by another child at school Monday morning, reports goal.com.
Suarez came under a lot of criticism — and is facing a lengthy ban from the English Football Association — after biting Chelsea's Ivanovic during a soccer match Sunday. And now the mother is claiming her son was the victim of a "copycat" attack at his school.
The concerned woman told BBC 5Live: "I had a phone call from the school headmistress earlier this morning saying that my son had been involved in a biting incident with another child and it appears to be a copycat of the Luis Suarez incident yesterday."
Although the mother did not know for certain whether the child, who has been suspended from the school, was copying Suarez, Bacon quizzed the caller about whether she blamed the Premier League top scorer for the incident at school.
"I think if this [Suarez biting Ivanovic] hadn't have happened yesterday then my son wouldn't have been bitten today," she said.
