Team Sky unveils racy and revealing cycling suits (PHOTO)

Team Sky's new racing suit for the 2014 season will leave very little to cycling fans' imagination after Chris Froome unveiled the Rapha-made gear via Twitter.

The defending Tour de France champion modeled the sheer, skin-tight suit that is so close to actual skin they might need a Band-Aid to fix a tear.

The sheer, netted fabric — that shows a little nipple — with a black panel covering the groin area, looks more like a Miley Cyrus castoff designed by Lady Gaga than a top-cycling team's uniform.

As one Twitter fan pointed out, maybe this is what Team Sky boss Sir Dave Brailsford meant when he promised "transparency" in his team.

'Trying out my new 2014 @TeamSky @rapharacing kit. The skin suit takes #marginalgains to the next level,' he tweeted.

Froome's referring to Team Sky's intense philosophy of "marginal gains", which basically means their thorough examination and improvement in anyway possible for every aspect that could impact their rider's performance.

This can mean nutrition, physiology and psychology to ergonomics and, of course, their equipment.

Chad Johnson offers to rescue Bengals fans from blackout

As reported earlier this week, the Cincinnati Bengals, Indianapolis Colts and Green Bay Packers still had several thousand unsold tickets for this weekend’s playoff games.

If the teams are unable to sell those tickets by a Thursday deadline, their respective playoff games will be blacked out on local television.

The Bengals still have about 8,000 tickets to sell to avoid a blackout of Sunday's playoff game against the Chargers. But on New Year's Eve, former Bengals receiver Chad Johnson made a generous offer on Twitter that could take care of everything.  In response to a story by Cincinnati Enquirer writer, Joe Reedy, about the Bengals stating, "Unless the rate of daily sales increases, we will not achieve a sellout," Chad Johnson tweeted, "I'll get the rest." After almost 300 re-tweets one fan asked if Johnson was actually going to buy the tickets.  He responded that he would be in touch with Jeff Berding, Bengals Director of Sales and Public Affairs, once back in Miami. If Johnson does purchases the remaining 8,000 tickets to Sunday's game the total bill would come to over 900,000 dollars.

That's novecientos mil to you, Ochocinco.

Steep tab for a guy who pleaded to have his child support payments lowered only last summer.

The reaction from Bengals fans was mixed with everything from "I've got a bridge to sell you" to "Make him an honorary captain."

Chad Johnson played wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals from 2001 to 2010.

Nets players left court before blowout loss to Spurs was over (VIDEO)

Even after the Brooklyn Nets were totally embarrassed in a 113-92 loss to the San Antonio Spurs for over 47 minutes Tuesday night, the team still found a way to humiliate themselves even more with only the last sliver of time left in the game.

The Spurs were just trying to dribble out the clock, but the shot clock was not off and there was 0.2 seconds left after their possession. The referees whistled a 24-second violation and gave the ball to the Nets for a perfunctory out of bounds play.

Except the Nets couldn’t inbound the ball because there were not enough Brooklyn players on the court to meet league rules and start the play. The Nets had already went sulking back to the locker room.

Red-faced Jason Kidd had to use a time out to stop the clock and round up enough Nets players for the final play — and an AT&T Center walk of shame.

It might seem trivial for the refs to finish the long-lost game, but they are there to enforce the rules.

But two things are perfectly clear from watching the video clip — Kidd has officially lost his team and the announcer was really hungry.

Bryce Petty's Fiesta Bowl flip freaks out his mom (VIDEO/GIF)

Baylor quarterback Bryce Petty scored an incredible touchdown by leaping over a Central Florida defender late in the first half of Wednesday's Fiesta Bowl. It's not often you see a quarterback pull off a play like this, but Petty sacrificed his own body on his way into the end zone.

Petty took off from the thirteen with the football and, when he got close to the goal line, he decided to leave his feet. Bears defensive back Jacoby Glenn got underneath the Knights quarterback and flipped him into the end zone for the touchdown.

While the stadium crowd looked on in astonishment, Petty's mother, Dena, shielded her eyes from what must have looked pretty bad from her point of view — a mom's.

Petty would hop right back up, but the entire No. 6 Baylor team would ultimately get flipped by No. 15 CFU, 52-42.

Mike Tyson posts 'Happy New Ears' on Twitter (PHOTO)

Some of Mike Tyson's relatives found these ear-shaped chocolate goodies in a sweet shop and sent a photo to the former heavyweight champion.

Tyson is getting a lot of play from his infamous 1997 ear-chomping fight with Evander Holyfield lately and, after a funny Foot Locker commercial and Broadway show poked fun at the incident, he posted a photo of these edible organs on Twitter with the caption, Happy "New Ears"!!!.

Shouldn't they simply be called Holyfield ears?

DeMarcus Cousins goes coast-to-coast for the slam (VIDEO)

Sacramento picked up a big New Year’s Eve win over Houston thanks to five players finishing in double figures — including their big guy, DeMarcus Cousins.

After battling through some early foul trouble, the Kings center finished the night with 17 points and 16 rebounds. But it was this lumbering coast-to-coast dunk that helped kick off the New Year's festivities by making sure the basketball got slammed.

Jovan Belcher’s mother files wrongful death lawsuit against Kansas City Chiefs: Report

The mother of former Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher filed a wrongful-death lawsuit against the team Tuesday after exhuming his body so that his brain could be examined for evidence of a degenerative condition linked to repeated concussions.

The lawsuit, filed on behalf of Cheryl Shepherd in Jackson County (Mo.) circuit court, alleges Belcher was subjected to "repetitive head trauma," and that the Chiefs failed to provide adequate medical treatment before Belcher tragically killed his girlfriend and then committed suicide last December.

Shepherd is seeking a jury trial and judgment "in excess of $15,000 for actual damages, punitive damages, and/or aggravating circumstances, for the cost of this action, and for such relief as the court deems fair and reasonable."

Belcher's body was exhumed at a cemetery in Bay Shore, Long Island at his family's request earlier this month so that his brain could be studied for chronic traumatic encephalopathy, a degenerative neurological condition. CTE has been linked to multiple concussions and includes symptoms such as memory problems, behavioral changes and eventually dementia.
CTE has made headlines in recent years with the deaths of some former professional athletes, including former Chargers linebacker Junior Seau and former Bears safety Dave Duerson.

Shepherd's lawsuit claims the Chiefs failed to warn her son of the short-term and long-term risks of concussions; failed to identify and remove Belcher from practice or games after sustaining head trauma; failed to educate Belcher about concussions; failed to monitor or treat Belcher for neurological dysfunction; and failed to provide appropriate counseling.

On Dec. 1, 2012, Belcher shot to death his girlfriend, Kasandra Perkins, while Shepherd was caring for his infant daughter in a nearby room. Belcher then sped from the residence to the Chiefs training facility, where he shot himself in the head as team personnel tried to stop him.

A spokesman for the Chiefs told The Associated Press on Tuesday night that the team was aware of the lawsuit. He could not comment further because of the pending litigation.
