One way for a advertisers to get a lot bang for their Super Bowl buck (actually $3.8 - $4 million for a 30-second spot) during the big game is to get it banned.
Everyone from Ashley Madison to Peta has been bumped from from the television lineup because of what is considered their racy or indecent material and got a lot of free publicity for their low morals.
Now, the CBS Network has forced GoDaddy.com to tone down their ad featuring supermodel Bar Rafaeli locking lips with a nerd named Walter.
On Thursday, the domain registry site, already popular for its sexy ad campaigns, released a snippet of the 30-second spot with the Israeli model and the geeky extra locking lips like two high-schoolers during a prom.
Apparently the close-up of the tongue tangling was too much for the CBS censors who deemed it 'indecent."
GoDaddy shot two versions of the commercial for this Sunday's game and will run the less slobbery version — which cuts out the offensive tongue action.
Jessie Heiman, the actor who plays the dorky Walter in the spot, told The Today Show that the pair did 65 takes of the kiss during the shoot.
Talk about residuals.

Dr. Phil offers proof Tuiasosopo was the voice of Te'o fake girlfriend
The 22-year-old man who fooled Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o into falling for a fake girlfriend via email and phone messages said he was repeatedly molested as a 12-year-old child and was only creating the phony persona as an escape from what he later called rape.
Ronaiah Tuiasosopo spoke publicly for the first time Thursday, in a taped interview with with Dr. Phil McGraw, on the "Dr. Phil Show" and said, " I felt the need to create this. It has everything to do with what I went through as a child."
After Thursday's show, McGraw expressed some skepticism that Tuiasosopo was actually the voice of the girlfriend, Lennay Kekua — a virtual woman he invented and introduced to Te'o via the Internet before killing her off in December.
When Tuiasosopo didn't pass three voice tests (taped in the Dr. Phil studio for Thursday's show), evaluated by three audio technicians — which could have matched his disguised voice to the previously recorded tapes of the phony Kekua — the soft-spoken Tuiasosopo blamed it on the unfamiliar and uncomfortable setting in the television studio. So McGraw had him go to more familiar surroundings to recreate Kekua's voice— and the same place for years he made the original calls to Te'o — his California home.
Tuiasosopo needed to score a 60% chance of certainty from the trifecta of audio analysts to confirm that he could have really been the voice of the fake Kekua.
All three audio tests came back with high scores of 87.94%, 70.54% and even a perfect 100% authentication from one lab.
"They all say with scientific certainty Ronaiah Tuiasosopo is the female voice in those recordings," said McGraw when the results came back.

Gore, Crabtree and Willis hit New Orleans strip club
The days leading up to the Super Bowl can be a stressful time for NFL players, so how did a few San Francisco 49ers stars loosen up before the big game — by hitting a Bourbon Street strip club, of course.
Frank Gore, Michael Crabtree and Patrick Willis were all spotted by the video cameras of TMZ as it captured the three players entering the legendary Penthouse Club — said to have over 120 strippers working the floor Thursday night.
A source told TMZ that the three-level club — famous for its "Naked Sushi" where you eat raw fish off naked bodies — is not for the dollar bill crowd. "You have to be a baller in that place. That's a high-end spot," said the spy.
Get a gander at the two ladies who think the TMZ camera is aimed at them while the football stars enter.
Silly girls.
A-Rod plans on returning to Yankees 'as soon as possible'
Alex Rodriguez is confident that reattaching his hip or separating himself from a joint MLB and DEA performance-enhancing drug investigation won't keep him from re-joining the New York Yankees this summer.
Despite all the talk that A-Rod's hip surgery is more serious than first reported and the third baseman has been linked to a South Florida PED supplier, he made it clear yesterday that there won't be any early retirement and he isn't going away that easily.
"Alex is working diligently on his rehabilitation and looks forward to getting back on the field as soon as possible," a source told The New York Post.

Marino told his wife about 'love child' in 2005 but didn't tell CBS
Dan Marino was so desperate to keep his All-American image intact that he told no one but his wife that he had fathered a baby out-of-wedlock with a CBS production assistant back in 2005. The former NFL quarterback never told his bosses at CBS Sports or even his longtime lawyer-agent about the baby for seven years until Wednesday.
Marino, the shamed CBS Sports football analyst, paid his mistress Donna Savaterre hush money and even signed several lucrative contracts with the network over that period until he confessed about the love tryst that produced the now seven-year-old girl named Chloe, a source told The New York Post.
Marino, who has been an analyst for CBS's "The NFL Today" since 2003, kept his longtime lawyer-agent Marvin Demoff on the sidelines while he paid the hush money to Savaterre — amounts that are reportedly in the range of millions of dollars.
"CBS was not involved in any way, shape or form back in 2005," when Marino made the deal with Savaterre using another lawyer," the source said.
When asked about when CBS heard about the affair, a network spokeswoman Jen Sabatelle said, "CBS Sports executives first learned of this yesterday [Wed.]."
The 51-year-old Marino also told Demoff about the hush money deal on Wednesday, telling him he hired other people to handle the payout to Savaterre, now 40.
The Marino source said he believed Marino did not use Demoff to negotiate the deal with his mistress because of "embarrassment" over his adultery.
Marino's explosive scandal comes right before CBS is set to broadcast Super Bowl XLVII on Sunday in New Orleans. The network said Marino will still be a part of the Super Bowl pre-game show.
"Dan has said all there is to say on this matter and he'll be in his usual role on our broadcast Super Bowl Sunday," Sabatelle told USA Today.

"Danny did, as difficult as it was, tell his wife in 2005, when this occurred," said a source close to Marino, referring to Claire Marino, who has six children with the Hall of Famer.

Man suspected of selling PEDs to A-Rod is a lifelong Mets fan
The man Major League Baseball and Drug Enforcement Administration agents have accused of peddling performance-enhancing drugs — and have linked to New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez — is a native New Yorker and lifelong Mets fan.
Anthony Bosch — who is suspected of supplying the PEDs to A-Rod and as many as 20 professional athletes — grew up in Queens before he moved to Coral Gables, Fla. as a kid.
"Tony's been a baseball aficionado since the day I met him," former business partner Roger De Armas, who grew up in Astoria with Bosch, told The New York Post.
Bosch loved his hometown Mets so much he even founded and managed a softball team of medical professionals named the Miami Meds — a tongue-in-cheek reference to his beloved team.
Bosch and De Armas hooked up later in Miami as adults and founded Miami Med Management Consultants in 1986. The company — which sold home medical equipment — folded, leading to a lawsuit from an investor, said De Armas.
In 2010, Bosch would open Biogenesis — an anti-aging clinic next to the University of Miami.
Records from the since closed clinic were obtained by The Miami New Times and opened up a Pandora's Box of accusations against Rodriguez and the other prominent athletes. Biogenesis reportedly sold testosterone cream, human growth hormone and other prohibited drugs to A-Rod over the past four years.
Rodriguez has denied any involvement with the clinic.
"I still consider Tony a friend," said De Armas, who ran into Bosch last year. "I figure the last thing he wants to be doing is being on the phone explaining what he was doing — or not doing — the last four years."
