Braves, Yankees hold moment of silence for man who died booing A-Rod (VIDEO)

The Atlanta Braves and New York Yankees held a moment of silence before Sunday's game at Turner Field for for the baseball fan who fell over a balcony and died while booing Alex Rodriguez Saturday night.

A-Rod was one of the players paying their respects to Braves fan Gregory Murrey of Alpharetta, Georgia, who plummeted from the top deck of the stadium during the seventh inning of the game between the Braves and Yankees the night before.

Witnesses claim the 60-year-old insurance broker was screaming at A-Rod — who was on deck and getting ready to pinch hit for the Yankees at the time — when Murrey lost his balance and fell.

Umpires did not stop the game and play resumed as the injured Murrey was taken to the hospital where he died a short time later.

While the flag flew at half-staff at Turner Field on Sunday, the Braves displayed a photo of Murrey on the video board and observed a moment of silence before the afternoon game.

After the game Rodriguez told reporters: "It’s sad. Upsetting, for sure. My prayers go out to his family."

Murrey's son, Jason, released a statement to the New York Daily News on behalf of his family.

"Gregory "Ace" Murrey was a husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend to many,' the statement read. 'He dearly loved his family, Atlanta, and the Atlanta Braves.

"The night Greg passed away, he was doing one of his favorite things — watching the Braves.

"At this time, the family wishes for you to respect their privacy as they mourn the loss of such an extraordinarily wonderful man."

Murrey was a season ticket holder at the stadium for 23 years.

Bryce Harper kicks dirt over Braves 'A' logo behind home plate (VIDEO)

While walking to the plate for an at-bat in Atlanta's Turner Field, Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper purposely kicked dirt over the Braves "A" logo behind home plate.

These two clubs already have a history of animosity, but even Nats fans might call the struggling Harper's action a minor league move.

Braves-Brewers game delayed by giant video screen malfunction (PHOTO)

Play between the Braves and Brewers was halted for a few minutes on Monday night because the graphics on Turner Field's giant video screen morphed into a blinding test pattern.

Because the video board is in dead center field and right in the batter's (and catcher's and umpire's) line of sight, it was turned off completely so play could resume, according to Tom Haudricourt of the Journal Sentinel.

Luckily for everyone — except Ryan Braun — the giant video board started working properly a few innings later.

And pity the poor guy who had to adjust and hold the oversized antenna for the rest of the game.

Foul ball makes splash-landing in Turner Field vendor's tray (VIDEO)

An Evan Gattis foul popup near home plate landed directly in an unsuspecting vendor's drink tray, triggering a huge splash-landing during Tuesday's Brewers-Braves game at Turner Field. Even Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy stopped and did a double-take when the ball sent beverages flying.

The slightly soaked vendor refused a fan's offer of the wayward ball and instead laughed it off to high-fives and cheers from the surrounding crowd

Brave's bat boy removes live bat from Turner Field

During the second inning of last night's Phillies-Braves game, an injured bat fell onto the infield of Turner Field — the winged kind of bat .

Who's the first person you think of when you want to remove a bat from the base paths? The batboy — why of course.

Appropriately, the Braves' brave batboy safely carries it off the field and shows it off in the team's dugout where nobody wants anything to do with the little bug-eater.

As it turned out, the Braves didn't need the extra bat —they won 6-3.

Cameraman makes nice one-handed catch

A TV cameraman made what has to be the most nonchalant one-handed catch of a foul ball this season— and didn't stop doing his job while grabbing the souvenir.

During the first inning of the Chicago Cubs-Atlanta Braves game Thursday night at Turner Field, a foul ball was hit in the direction of the cameraman wearing a Braves hat— so you know he works for TBS— on the second level of the stadium.  Without taking his eye off the camera, he snags the fly ball with one free hand.

Or maybe the showoff was just watching himself on the camera monitor.

Don't get confused by the SNY (New York Mets) anchor introducing this clip.  The woman was so stoked about David Wright's game-winning walk-off single against the Phillies on the same night, she started the tape intro with the Mets player's at bat.  Her excitement turned to disappointment after her producers chose the catch video as the play of the day and not Wright's big hit at Citi Field.

The catch is better than Wright's bloop single anyway— at least Phillies fans think so.
