Swimming baby already looks like a future champion

This little baby looks like she's taken a liking to the water at a very early age and a video of the mini- Missy Franklin doing laps in a pool already has over 50,000 hits.

The 16-month old Elizabeth — with the encouraging "go go go" of her mother — paddles around the pool in her one-piece Pampers. Even after she says "I'm done," the water baby impressively swims across it again and later laps it with one breath.

The trusting little toddler's video may get some helicopter parents hotter than their lattes but the kid actually seems to enjoy the pool.

Although her diving needs a little work maybe we'll see little Elizabeth breaking breaststroke records in 2028.

Go go go.

Prince Harry charms swimmer Missy Franklin with 'Happy Birthday' serenade

There has been no shortage of women for Prince Harry to choose from since he touched down in Washington, D.C. for his tour of America this week. Harrymania seems to follow him everywhere he goes.

But, from the looks of this photo, it seems like England's most eligible bachelor paid special attention to one smitten lady — U.S. Olympic swimming star Missy Franklin.

Yesterday, the Royal Prince sang "Happy Birthday" to the four-time Olympic gold medalist who turned 18, at a British-themed drinks reception in Colorado, where she lives.  He also chatted up British business executives and met fellow military officers. She later tweeted about it.

While the Prince has been bombarded by women on his nine-day visit to the States — where he has laid a wreath for fallen American soldiers, chatted with some of the wounded at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, visited a town devastated by Hurricane Sandy and paid tribute to his mother, Princess Diana, at the White House — he is doing a little more work than play on this jaunt.

Harry, who served with an elite squadron of Apache helicopter pilots in Afghanistan last year, was criticized for being caught with his pants down in Las Vegas the last time he was visiting.

No matter what you think of that whole Royal Family thing across the pond, there's something really likable about this guy.

Missy Franklin dedicates Olympic races to Colorado shooting victims

U.S. Olympic swimmer Missy Franklin said Thursday she was so deeply affected by the movie shootings in the suburb of Aurora, Colo. last week, she will be dedicating all of her races at the London Games to her home state of Colorado.

The 17-year old swimming star is from Aurora and attends high school and trains there.  Although Franklin has family and friends residing there, she said she did not know any of the victims but will take the heartbreak of the tragedy into the pool as inspiration.

"Right now, all I can do is swim my heart out and hopefully make my state proud," she said.

Franklin is expected to compete in seven events at the 2012 London Games and the world-record holder is a favorite to get Olympic gold in more than a few.

The mature beyond her years Franklin, one of the U.S. Olympic team's brightest and biggest stars, just might make the whole country proud.
