A San Francisco fan took a Giants leap of faith when he dove into the chilly waters of McCovey Cove to retrieve a home run ball hit by Joe Panik Friday night.
The two-run homer bounced through the stands and over the stadium walkway before landing in the drink. Security tossed the fully-clothed dude a life preserver and helped him to safety after he went overboard.
And is that the ball in your pocket or are you just happy to on dry land again?

DeLorean appears in McCovey Cove during Giants game (VIDEO)
A Giants fan in McCovey Cove activates the flux capacitor on his DeLorean and spins some donuts in the Bay during the Giants' game against the Padres.
We've all become accustomed to seeing weird things (i.e. UFO's and hotdog kayaks) floating out in the bay but at least Dr. Emmett Brown and his time machine might have some real value to Giants fans. Let's say... transporting the team back to last year's World Series run.

Fan in McCovey Cove watches Giants game from towering sailboat mast
We've seen a lot of weird things appear in McCovey Cove during Giants games over the years — UFO boats and hotdog-selling kayaks — but at least this guy gets to see the game.
This fan perched himself on the top of the mast of his large schooner so he could get a crow's nest view of the goings on inside AT&T Park.
Guess he couldn't afford tickets.
