Brian Urlacher, Jenny McCarthy split, will continue 'amazing friendship'

Jenny McCarthy and Brian Urlacher have called it quits after less than six months of dating, according to the July/August "Playboy" cover girl.

Rumors of the romance between the "Love in the Wild" host and the Chicago Bears linebacker started back in April, when she told reporters she was currently "giddy about someone."

Now the 39-year old is back on the market.

"Brian and I have decided to turn our romance into an amazing friendship," she told People in a statement.  "I will continue to be the biggest cheerleader for him.  Go Bears!"

Friendship?  That's gonna be one grumpy Bear this season.

McCarthy left no doubt about the budding relationship back in May by telling reporters, "I can confirm that yes, it's true, we are dating."

Before she started getting serious with Urlacher, McCarthy had insisted she was happy being single.  She previously dated actor Jim Carrey for over five years and has a 10-year old son from actor John Mallory Asher.

"It took awhile," she told Parade magazine of being comfortable with herself back in April.  "I'm happy with myself.

"I don't need to have a lover to have love in my life."

Urlacher— who just underwent an arthroscopic procedure to clean up tissue in his left knee— had no comment but, if he did, it would probably be a grunt.

"That's one set of gums," Jenny McCarthy's shocked dentist was probably thinking after the actress accidentally sent a nude photo of herself instead of a picture of her kid's infected mouth to his office.

The former Playboy playmate— who has bared all for the magazine— was saving the sexy photo for her boyfriend Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher, McCarthy said on "The Wendy Williams Show" but mistakenly sent it to the dentist.

Sounds like the blonde beauty went from Da Bears to just Duh.

The naked shot ended up at her son's dentist office after the 10-year old woke up with an abscess in his mouth and McCarthy panicked and called him.  The dentist asked her to send photos of her son Evan's gums on a cell phone when she had the mix up.

"It's horrific to remember," said the 39-year old McCarthy.  "So I'm taking a picture of it and I'm sending it to the dentist and I sent him a nude on accident!  I swear to God!"

"The dentist is like, 80 years old.  I literally screamed at the top of my lungs," she added.

The old dentist was expecting pictures of bi-cusps but got C-cups instead.
